Siberian megaliths, or mountain?

Have Russians Discovered Ancient ‘Super-Megalithic’ Architecture in Siberia?

Are these images posted to a Russian blog evidence for one of the greatest megalithic constructions ever discovered, or are they just a geological quirk of nature, like the Japanese site of Yonaguni seems to be? My votes on the latter, but I look forward to further investigation:

The super megaliths were found and photographed for the first time by Georgy Sidorov on a recent expedition to the Southern Siberian mountains. The following images are from Valery Uvarov’s Russian website. There are no measurements given, but from the scale depicted by the human figures, these megaliths are much larger (as much as 2 to 3 times larger) than the largest known megaliths in the world. (Example: The Pregnant Woman Stone of Baalbek, Lebanon weighs in at approximately 1,260 ton). Some of these megaliths could easily weigh upwards of 3,000 to 4,000 tons.

What do you think?

  1. Too little info to tell
Depends where the rocks are located? Are they accumulated at the base of a natural cliff, where natural fracturing caused them to break in geometric shapes and fall? Or were they quarried elsewhere, transported and built there, only to fall into disarray over time? The rectangular shape and right angels do appear worked, however natural fracturing could cause this presumably. Similarly rock is quarried through man-made fracturing.

If man made – very old due to weathering. And get the heck out of there before the giants return!!!

  2. I want to believe
I’d like to see more pictures after the spring thaw, or is this after the spring thaw already? I’ve seen similar formations in Ontario, so I’m going to say this is completely natural.

    1. It is kind of amazing how
It is kind of amazing how manufactured this geology can look. Same with the so called giant pyramids recently promoted in the Ecuadorian jungle and of course the so called Bosnian pyramids.

          1. When this first came out
When this first came out there was this young couple who claimed to have discovered them and who made a Youtube singing their glories and also pitching to raise money for a better outfitted expedition, and they were convincing I must say. I was enamored and excited at first, but then some cooler heads prevailed and explained the geology. That’s not to say we won’t be finding some more pyramids eventually in Amazonia, and of course there are legit pyramids in Ecuador.

  3. Siberian megastones
Some really huge construction stones have turned up worldwide that contemporary archeologists find very difficult to believe could be cut and placed by our ancestors. Yet there they are and there is no way they are natural. These Siberian stones appear to be much larger yet than the others. I would not discredit them solely on their size. Better we learn more about the function they appeared to serve. How these stones are laid out; to what purpose is more important than their gross size. If they appear to have served no known purpose then perhaps they are natural formations. However, on the other hand if they appear to be part of a building structure it only stands to reason they are artificial and “man?” made.

    1. I wasn’t discrediting them
I wasn’t discrediting them because of their size – I was questioning whether they were “fitted together” by humans. The vertical fissures look geological.

  4. Needs more research
Just too early to make dogmatic proclamations one way or the other about their naturalness or artificiality. Let’s see what (if any) evidence actually turns up.
