Slow news day…

Quote of the Day:

If I see eleven
You can say it’s seven
Still I wish you heaven

Who needs supplements when you can have an official TDG head-banging board. Only $39.95 folks. Computer monitor attachment hardware sold separately …

    1. Believe It or Not
“It is a brilliant business model. If you can be convinced that an international cabal of globalists is hell-bent on creating a New World Order, perhaps you could be persuaded to buy Infowars Life Survival Shield X-2, a one-fluid-ounce bottle of iodine supplement for $39.95.”

Believe it or not, I can be quite convinced of a “cabal hell-bent on creating a New World Order” without having the slightest interest in Life Survival Shield et al.

It should also be pointed out that things like colloidal silver are hardly “snake oil.” Colloidal silver is a wickedly strong bacteriacide that has actually been making a comeback in these times of antibiotic resistance at least for topical application. Jones’ advocacy of the supplement as something to ingest is highly misguided though as it can very quickly wipe out gut flora when taken internally. Some people do want this effect though when they have some intractable gut infection that prescribed antibiotics are not dealing with.
His other supplements containing testosterone are not “snake oil” either – testosterone supplements sure as hell have “effects” along with some potentailly bad effects such as high blood pressure, stroke, when taken willy-nilly.

TDG has published several links to Elysium Basis recently – a supplement I take with enthusiasm – but considered by some to be “snake oil” as well. While TDG may not be “selling” Elysium a hit piece on TDG could very well be written exclaiming that TDG was consorting with the crazy fringe on that account as well as many other associations.
“Association fallacy” is the go-to ridiculing tactic now for maligning entities you don’t like, are afraid of, or wish would leave your pet biases alone.

I have friends who just roll their eyes when I suggest they peek in on TDG – for the squares TDG is beyond the pale.

Jones is just like all the other independent websites scrambling for ways to support their infrastructure. Perhaps he should start a Patreon.

      1. Snake Oil Salesmen
        I was just joking Emlong!

Colloidal silver is something I keep at the house, mainly for topical rather than internal use, but it could be valuable for internal uses in cases of emergencies. The best colloidal silver is home-brew, but it has a very short shelf life. The brands sold in the stores have additives that keep the silver in solution longer, but that reduces its effectiveness somewhat.

I also have additional water purification in the house. Having some iodine is probably also a fairly painless preventive measure. But, there are limits to what I’m willing to do regarding disaster preparedness.

I don’t watch the InfoWars program, so can’t comment on the sales approach. But, I’m always leery of conflict of interest situations.
