Materialist Mind

Daniel Dennett and Andy Clark have written an opinion piece for the latest New Scientist taking neuroscientist Mario Beauregard to task for some of his comments in a previous NS article in support of Dualism (see “Intelligent Design and Cartesian Dualism“. There’s some intelligent commentary beneath the story which is worth reading, but rather than dive into boring discussions of neuroscience, materialism and dualism, I’ve decided to let someone else do the talking here on TDG, and perhaps provide a good laugh in the process:

Because hey – if you can’t trust the word of (Professor) Basil Fawlty when it comes to philosophies of consciousness and the basics of neuroscience, who can you trust?
