Good to see a majority here think ETs already around..that launches the next question are they in established contact with goverments, US, UK and Russia come to mind. If not, fine. If they are, then that raises a lot of questions. I shudder to think being represented by that criminal US goverment and their minions. I wonder too if any of those New World Order types understand how much easier a takeover of this world by a negative ET would become, once they've installed that order... I would think that the drive to their NWO would quickly dissapate, once it would become public knowledge a peaceful ET is around.
It's been obvious too that this past decade the fear ET factor has been pushed thru the media, leading to those silly discussions at Cosmic log(not for the first time). I say lets not be naive, there's likely good ET and not so good ET, the former will try to 'bring' us love, the latter corrupt us with 'power'. This obviously puts the good ET at a disadvantage, having to deal with the powerhungry leadership of this planet. Then again, i suspect the active suppression of knowledge is a stage more species have gone thru.
Bottomline im not afraid of ET's , this current fearmongering is almost a sign that they don't accept the current leadership on this planet. Neither do a lot of us ( me included). Still, some in those quarters believe in the Reagan idea that a new world order would establish quickly, if only we we're attacked by aliens. I certainly wouldnt put it passed those , to attack the world in such a disguise..good thing the US will be officially broke soon.

My view is that ETs have not have enough time to understand what we say. Our audio and video transmission have only been significant for a few decades. Until quite recently (maybe 50 years or so), all of our emissions were completely drowned out by the sun.
Look at it from the ET point of view.
The difficulty of finding a meaningful signal in the increased emission is significant. The various emissons do not use the same encoding. AM radio is different from FM radio. Television signals don't use the same signal in all places. NTSC is different from PAL.
Add to that the more recent digital signals. A good digital signal that is very energy efficient looks remarkable like noise, rather than an artificial signal.
So there are at least 2 problems for ETs being here in response to what we broadcast:
(a) They would have to be looking very hard for us, much harder than we look for them.
(b) They would have to be interested in coming here. And they had less than 50 years to do that.
Apart from that, I don't see the evidence of ETs having meaningful interaction with governments. Our governments behave more or less the same, as long as we have had governments. So I don't see much reason to believe they now are influenced by ETs.
The current fearmongering is much more likely the old fearmongering that we have always had.
Anyway that's what I think.

How can you look at it from the point of view of civilizations that have tens of thousands of years of advantage and a different evolution?
I mentioned that before. We live on an experimental planet, human consciousness is experimental, its parameters are therefore controlled.
Then one might wonder what would the point of view of an intelligence that is not experimental be, and what the agenda could be.
You don't put your feet in a petri dish when you are carrying and experiment, and you don't enter a cage when you go to the zoo unless it is to monitor the physiological condition of the creatures kept in it.
Once the results of the experiment have been achieved, then its another story. It is not yet the case but it is close.
The experimental nature of consciousness has served to quarantine people within their own reflective psychologies and a contact with civilizations that don't belong would be over what they can deal with. This nature must first be eliminated.
Until then, humans will lend aliens human like intellectual attributes and will suppose that what they believe to know of their own evolution applies to all.
People are far less ready than they like to believe to meet other intelligences. Such a contact, when it happens, will end civilization as we know it.
A fundamental condition for an experimental consciousness to work is its proneness to being magnetized. Beliefs system are the result of this condition. Impressionability, fear, powerlessness, all of these result from that condition.
And this means that men can be manipulated.
But man must not be manipulated and he must be in position to look at ET face to face without loosing his identity. But of course, if his consciousness is experimental, he has no real and direct access to his identity at this point, he is subjected to a program that he believes is him. The small self for the new agers out there.
When facing an alien, an individual must not be able to believe, he therefore must not be possible to influence him. He must not be impressed.
Impressions are memories modified through an experience that affects the emotional makeup and that transform the perception of reality. It becomes a conviction.
When you listen to contactees, you clearly see how impressed they were by the experience and how they are willing to accept a mission.
A free man takes no mission from no one. Neither from the invisible nor from alien intelligences.
It is easy to see how people are easy to manipulate. Were it not the case, politics and marketing as we know it, cultures and everything else could not stand as they do.
Ironically, people still insist on having a sense of free will.
Seeking to contact alien intelligences is similar to seeking to meet with god. It is a spiritual search for the elevation of the soul and is part of the experimental construct that is the lesser self. It is based on the lack of a real identity. It results from a lack of something. It results from powerlessness. While the real identity is everything but powerless.

I take ET to be any other sentient lifeform anytime anyplace and this including time space and dimension.
Better not to limit your looking.
Otherworlders may not have concepts of love or power or any other human attribute or they may experience these things on a very different level or in a different kind of way.
Mistakingly to assess otherworlders based on our own very limited technological or physical level of understanding. We can only do so from a human perspective and only up to the current point of our understanding of these things. Physics here may not be so there. Distance space may be no barrier nor time space. May not even be looking but already know.
Lost question should be are we old enough to seek out another species before understanding living and understanding our own. It is an immature seeing and seeking.
Apply the question to earth history and immaturity of humanity for the answer.

we are all "ET's" anyway. If you take Darwinism, we evolved because of stuff from out there. If you take Sitchen, we were genetically modified from ET's, or even christianity, we were made from an ET, all be it the "great one".
The sentient beings out there now have little wish for us to know of their existance. We are alone in our fight for self knowing and evolution. We either survive or not. When we can learn to recognise our true selves as spiritual beings we may then have contact with "ET". But while we keep distroying and killing, we still have very far to go.
But rest assured that "ET" is among us and very concerned for our future but will not intervene.

I think if they are around we should talk with them and not be afraid of them. However, if they are to be negative, then I think we should protect ourselves some how, but, first open up communication. Don't shoot first.

i agree-ancient astronauts on earth in pre-history?.is not even a huge mental leap.for all manner of reasons travellers may have arrived been on earth and dabbled with the genetic's of primates and for whatever reasons this took place-we are the current batch.id like to think of it like panspermia and perhaps we will go on to do the same somewhere else.so like a tribe spread out across the stars we inst inctively feelknow our "brothers".its either that or we are some kinda cog in a machine thats controlled by an ancient intelligence that has a dark agenda.

That is not possible. Because then it is the race that takes responsibility for you.
You can only take responsibility for yourself. Which means that you then realize that each individual's experience is necessary to those individuals.
This is why it was asked of people to not judge.
But that is very hard not to do when the mind is so polarized between black and white and works out of convictions and beliefs, where of course one's belief becomes truth and those of others are just beliefs when they don't belong.

Hello, thanks Obiman, i admit i'd never heard of Alex Collier before. That said on this 94 interview he comes across as genuine and seriously concerned about the way things are going on earth, and as we know now things have gotten even worse. He's kept a low profile ( on advise of the aliens) and had a falling out with them on account of them not warning him about serious mishaps around him. He didnt get specific but thats the reason he gave for laying low for 6 years...he came out again last month and didnt bring that much news..beside a new date for the galaxy shift dec 2013. Collier at Earth transformation summit skip the first 13 min..its a new mage meditation that said its essential to those in Randy's corner.
Ridicule, such a powerful weapon and how sad we the human race are the subject of it, all because of our celebrated ignorance, fully stuck in our materialistic 3D mode. Meanwhile we are being sold out by powerful idiots that think they can keep control. As if the negative aliens care one iota about humans or their quislings.
