Death certificate is imprinted on the Shroud of Turin, says Vatican scholar

A Vatican scholar claims to have deciphered the "death certificate" imprinted on the Shroud of Turin, or Holy Shroud, a linen cloth revered by Christians and held by many to bear the image of the crucified Jesus.

Dr Barbara Frale, a researcher in the Vatican secret archives, said "I think I have managed to read the burial certificate of Jesus the Nazarene, or Jesus of Nazareth." She said that she had reconstructed it from fragments of Greek, Hebrew and Latin writing imprinted on the cloth together with the image of the crucified man.

Perhaps it's worth keeping the TDG poll up a bit longer to see if this news item has any effect.

Personally I'd like to read the book before adjusting my view, but it may be a while before it's available in English!

I don't believe in belief!

I have to say, the shroud is an artistic article and not a god like death cloak placed over/under the body of christ. Why do I say such blasphemy. Because of the top of the images head on the cloth does not follow the skull as if wrapped around the head. No, it is shaped as if it was inprinted or drawn or impressed from a wooden carving which was used to inprint a front and back print with no top of the head inprint.

Sorry folks, this is another mystery manufactured for our quantum dream factory projection over our neural network from the classical verse.
