Edgar Mitchell's comments on aussie radio is making the news down here, with the usual immature smirks and condescending ridicule in the comments sections of newspapers. There have been a few rational, intelligent comments posted (such as Jeda), but they've been drowned out by the heckling lynch mob of chimps throwing pooh.

Last weekend, astrophysicist James Bartzen III presented "indisputable proof" the Phoenix Lights UFOs were secret military tech. However, a quick look at his bio suggests a hoax (yes, skeptics are capable of hoaxes! gosh!), or a very badly planned publicity stunt. There is no American Russian Institute of Space Sciences, there is no American Space Agency (which Bartzen alleges to have founded), and he really pushes my disbelief by claiming he was mentored by Werner Von Braun. Is Bartzen III even a real astrophysicist? UFO Blogger managed to contact Bartzen, and got a very noncommittal, ambiguous answer. I smell a hoax.

By the way, the expert who examined radar documents from the Stephenville Texas UFO event is lamenting the media and public's apathy. Here's solid evidence that shows the official military story doesn't add up, that there were multiple objects and one very large UFO, validating eyewitness accounts -- and not a peep from anyone. The skeptics are especially quiet, which is odd considering they're always demanding such evidence. At last, something has shut them up! And that something is very strong evidence that can not be explained as the light of Venus reflecting off swamp gas.
