Will the upcoming Indiana Jones movie tie together the apparently unconnected mysteries of (a) Roswell, and (b) the Crystal Skulls?
The movie's producer, Frank Marshall, may have hinted as much in a recent interview:
Once the archaeologist is thrust back into danger, the signature Indiana Jones red line tracing across the map will take him to New Mexico, Connecticut, Mexico City and the jungles of Peru.
...The artifact of the title is inspired by real quartz sculptures of disputed origins that are carved in a way that defies the natural structure of the crystal.
"The theory is they are shaped by higher powers or alien powers or came from another world, or an ancient Mayan civilization had the powers," Marshall says.
Hmmm. New Mexico....alien powers...I think I see a connection.

Indiana von Daniken
Indiana Jones.com has the movie poster. You can see the Grey-like alien features in the skulls, and if you look closely above the nose of the big crystal skull you'll see a face that is very familiar to Whitley Strieber. ;-)
When I heard Indy 4 would be set in the 1950s, I was hoping he would travel to Egypt again and have a young Zahi Hawass as a sidekick. "It's just a tomb, Doctah Jones!"
Hurra!
Indy is coming to Mexico city, Yay!!!!!
I hope he ends up at Tenampa and meets Pedro Infante ;-)

It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!

Volcanic Foundries, Real Antiquities
As with the "Black Stone" in Mecca, volcanic foundries have existed for millenia fully operational until only the last few centuaries; depending on the cooling characteristics, and your preferencial mould for casting, it is not hard to create structured crystal formations.
please see http://pelodic.blogspot.com and http://bigeye.us/scribe/ for public transcriptions of a large set of the scrolls and glassworks which we have recently been introduced to that date from the 2500 years ago period.
Please contact them via the pelodic@gmail.com address if you have any idea what this structured sculpture or artform / language / music composite notation mode is known as.
