Dreams are getting weirder. I was on an alien planet and something big was about to happen -- massive storms, something bad that was forcing everyone to find shelter. I remember a bizarre robot running to warn an old hermit living in a shack. At first I was disgusted by the ramshackle, dirty shack, but then I grew used to it and after a while I viewed it as home and didn't give it's impoverished appearance a second thought. The planet was dry and dusty. And then, as the sun was about to set, a magnificent rainbow surrounded it. I counted the colours. There were only six, not the usual seven. Then I realised the seventh colour is invisible. The bands of colours began to move and - this is hard to explain - separated, one behind the other. I had the impression I was witnessing something miraculous. That's all I can remember. There was a welcome home for the crew of the spaceship -- there was one person who received all the credit when he did nothing, and an ex-astronaut who came out of retirement to fly the mission gave me a reassuring smile and shrugged, as if to say "that's how the world works". There was a Japanese man on the craft, a young scientist with long hair, looks like a musician, who had a long screw in his hand that required surgery to remove. I can still visualise the x-ray.
But the rainbow sticks in my mind, the way the bands of colours moved and separated. It was epic.

Thanks Mr Collins! As for storm symbolism, I actually view storms as positive. I love storms. I always feel energised, refreshed, recharged. The moment after a storm, everything feels fresh, new, transformed. So while everyone ducked for cover to avoid the storm, I stayed outside to weather it -- and was rewarded with the rainbow.
Don't fear change! Embrace it. :)

Your dreams are very intersting to read, sort of like Edgar Burroughs....queer and compelling sci-fi ! So, may I ask this? Have you ever been abducted? Just wondering what your thoughts are on the subject per alien planet.

Dunno if I was abducted, but I've been visited. By what or whom, I don't know. I saw a UFO with my father when 12 years old -- it was oval-shaped, changed colours in a regular pattern, remained in the sky without moving and then all of a sudden shot upwards and disappeared, leaving a streak like a reverse falling star. I awoke once as a teenager, banging on my window and screaming "You're not taking me again!" over and over. My parents and sisters were in the doorway, wondering what the hell was going on. The flywire screen for the window was found a hundred metres away the next day -- it's on the outside of the house, my window had been locked (first thing my parents checked, in case someone had tried to break in and I'd reacted still asleep), so I couldn't have knocked it off myself. Someone had removed it from the outside. There were no marks or footprints in the garden outside my bedroom -- very soft earth, my dad is an avid gardener. Not a trace of anyone outside my window. In 1997, I had a classic sleep paralysis moment. I was facing the wall, and I felt a sharp pain in my back. I managed to turn my head and saw a short figure in a hooded, brown robe, sticking a long metallic needle into my back. It was a couple years later, in late 1999, that I first read that other alien abductees have reported exactly the same thing, right down to the clothing and metallic needle. I've never had a spinal tap, so it could not have been a repressed memory. Could I have glimpsed the future in a dream, seeing what I would read in a Whitley Strieber book years later? The incident was real, it wasn't a sleep paralysis/dream hallucination -- seeing is believing.

I am rather envious at this revolation. As a matter of fact, I always wanted to be abducted by aliens and go for a ride in outer space. That would not only be cool, but provide me a good excuse for my many misadventures. (laughing). Well, Mister Gned, congrates on this one and we all know who is the real Space ship Super Star!

In ways I can see how that really might be horrific, and then in ways be awesome. I too have had weird stuff happen to me. I do not know what to think about it all, and I have researched the phenomenon since I was in my teens. I did some early work with David Jacobs, Budd Hopkins and Whitley…….all of this was almost 20 years ago already. I am getting old! Things have changed very much since then. People can talk openly now about having what ever experience it is……I wondered if you were in some ways relating to something that had occurred in your life and sticks with you in your back ground thoughts, or really maybe in your forefront ones.
Well, you are all right, so that is good. Some people really go nuts when things happen to them and they do not understand what it is and they do not talk about it, They keep it inside and rewind -- and that is not good. They start doing the “Who is on first, no who is on second, no wait, who is on first, and so on and so forth.”

Curiouser and curiouser
To be honest, I actually wasn't terrified at all. The incident when I was a teenager, waking up screaming "You're not taking me again! Leave me alone!" frightened my family, I'm sure. But the robed humanoid sticking a needle into my back -- I wasn't frightened at all, just annoyed I couldn't move and stay awake to ask questions! During that night, I also remember the flat being flooded with bright light, and the classic greys flitting around -- I always thought that was a dream, a memory of Close Encounters of the Third Kind. The hooded being and its metallic needle however couldn't have been a repressed memory of pop culture. As I said, I was stunned to read about the same encounter in a Whitley Strieber book a couple years later. And a year after that (2000), I saw a documentary on tv about sleep paralysis. Researchers were mystified and at a complete loss to explain the 1% of sleep paralysis sufferers who report seeing exactly the same thing -- a robed, hooded being sticking a long metallic needle into their back. They admitted it was a complete mystery, despite the documentary briefly debunking alien abductions as sleep paralysis and dream hallucination. Two years ago I briefly woke up during an operation on my sinuses -- I remember very briefly the surgeon and nurses noticing I was awake, someone asking me if i was okay, and then falling back asleep. My encounter with the needle being was very much like that.
But I'm not terrified, nor do I harbour bad feelings, resentment or fear. I'm just very curious!

I was listening to Dreamland this afternoon, William Henry was talking about visiting CERN, Rennes Le Chateau, The Dom, Languedoc region, etc. Mentioned the hypercube found in the Dom prison, underneath the scratched in symbols (made by the Cathar prisoners from their own teeth that had fallen out) of the meditation device for higher dimensional awareness. I'll go out on a limb and try to give an explanation for some of your dream scenes.
alien = el (god particle) I (the self) en (within)
dry/dusty = barren of life, sustenance and without
planet = earthly dimension
something big about to happen = awareness of higer self but failure to acknowledge it and it's wisdom
massive storm = current world unrest
forced to find shelter = you and the rest of the not yet fully aware beings in confusion seeking their place
bizarre robot = the collective life of humans going about in their mundane rote existance
old hermit in shack = you, alone, in human form, an old spirit evolving
disgusted = realization that higher self is in the lower dimensional predicament
grew used to it/considered it home = complacent within third dimension
sun was about to set = the coming end of one cycle
seperated one behind the other = tubular tunnel light beam a dimensional worm hole or star gate to enlightenment
six not seven = inner self work,
one was invisible = have completed one rung on the light ladder but didn't realize it
one person gets all the credit = illusion, disillusion, deluded, off course, incorrect. The egoic desire for adulation. Lesson learned (see "one was invisible")
ex-astronaut = your higher self giving your lower self advice, "set aside judgement" as this is a lower dimension thought form, you were above but are at present caught in time and space below in this dimension,

screw in hand = spiral for ascension blocked from the healing rays emitted from the palm (sole/soul/spirit)
