I recently spent a week in Girona (Spain) challenging the dramatic claims of Patrice Chaplin’s new book – City of Secrets. If she’s correct, then the foundation of the Rennes-le-Château mystery will have to be rewritten.
I was surprised to have found much of her research quite easily vindicated, and then some, including the apparent involvement of Bérenger Saunière in a Death Cult known as La Sanch. Could this be the tie that bonds Rennes-le-Château to Girona – and both to Perpignan?
I’ve documented my findings in an article called Questing in Girona:
http://www.andrewgough.co.uk/girona.html
It contains over 60 photos, including many rare pictures of the Torre Magdala – the 1851 tower that inspired Bérenger Saunière to build the Tour Magdala in Rennes-le-Château.
