The audience for Fox News' "Dayside" sank to a new low on Tuesday (August 8, 2006) during discussion of the fighting along the Israeli-Lebanese border.
Egged on by substitute host Steve Doocy (or Doocey as the chyron spelled it at one point), the audience literally laughed at the suffering of Lebanese civilians caught between Hezbollah and Israeli bombs.
Doocy was interviewing Tania Mehanna, a senior war correspondent for Lebanese Broadcasting Corporation, when he chided Lebanese civilians for not standing up to Hezbollah fighters whom he said are positioning rockets in front of their homes. 'I think I'd be angry as Hezbollah," Doocy said.
Listen to Mehanna's answer and to the audience response.
Later, a man in the audience claimed that Arabs have made up the idea that Israel is bombing Lebanon and that the buildings are not being bombed but are falling down because of "faulty construction".
Chilling.

If anyone wanted proof that we are governed the world over by primary psychopaths and in some of the American news media - here it is. Fox News really is inhabited by a sub-human species.

Down we go..........
Down the slippery slide to Hell.
Thanks Stan.I haven't been paying much attention to the news of late, having my own problems and finding that I cannot cope with the sight of dead bodies and self-satisfied Israelis.
Hezbollah is supported by the people of Lebanon as far as I know.
Israels profits from the 3 billion dollars of US money they receive for arms each year.
As the US supports Israel who has nuclear weapons and denounces the Arab states that want them,it is easily seen that the whole thing of right/wrong went out the window with the bath water.
In Australia this week we had a situation of rat poison pellets being dropped in school yards.Someone said to me that it was terrible the things these Muslims will do.
Muslims?
I would have thought a psychopath did it.
There was also the occasion of an Australian calling the cricket and he called a Muslim player a terrorist.
Where is this going to end!
Is it going to end?
I think TS Eliot got it a bit wrong, that it will actually end with a bang AND a whimper.

Lowest common Denominator everywhere
Canadian Prime Minister Stephen Harper called the Israelie attack on Lebanon "a measured response." He said that statement after the annoucement that several thousand people are dead. such positions of power have been seized by the lowest common denominator. We have got the politicians and leadership we deserve, rather then want, or need. These people are impossible to avoid. During the last election, a well known Municipal politician was campagning for a federal seat. "Can I count on your support in this upcoming campaign?" she asked. I slammed the door on her face. such a question avoids the issues. It all starts at the grass roots.
When I Thought That They Had Gone As Low As They Could Go,...
Stanley
They've hit another new low! But, refering to Fox News as being inhabited by a sub-human species is really much to complimentary. I know that you were trying to be diplomatic; but, sub-bipedal species would, in my opinion, be slightly more accurate! Actually, that's much too complimentary also; but, what I really think would most certainly be edited! So, let's just say that those that inhabit Fox News are spineless! This is a abomination! But, as horrible as it is to say, I'm not surprised! Once again, I'm grateful that I had the good sense to walk out of that country almost 21 years ago!
What do you think?
