From Robert Schoch and Colette Dowell in Bosnia

Hello everybody! *wave* We finally have an internet connection. Sorry to have been so late with this letter, but we have been very busy.

Right now we are composing a longer letter to tell you what we have been up to. This letter is just to check in, and give you a hint of what we've been seeing and doing. It's also to see if this is going to work using a Bosnian keyboard. We are going to try to send some pics for Greg to post at TDG, but we're still having a few problems with software, and with driver recognition on usb ports and such.

Bosnia is beautiful. Every day has been spent getting up and having breakfast very fast, drinking turkish coffee, and running out the door with our back packs and gear.

We have seen the Pyramid of the Moon, Paramid of the Sun and other related sites. The tunnels are very complex and were much different than we expected. They are artificial and have been worked with hands. Recently there have been some timbers set to secure the walls. At points we had to crawl on our bellies like little fat snakes slithering through dark long tubes with wet walls and no light. I had a headband on with a light so I could see while I videoed.

Videoing in the tunnels was the hardest thing to do due to over 300 meters of crawling, then sometimes standing up and walking for a few feet before being back down on our knees, belly or butt. I scooted a lot. Robert, being as tall as he is, had a difficult time getting around as well. But it was all very worth the experience.

Today we went up to the very top of the Pyramid of the Sun, climbing an extra 200 meters to the top to see the medieval hill fort. There was no damage whatsoever done to that site because there is not much of a site there -- just a few rocks left of a very tiny fortress wall.

We saw many unusual features of the alleged pyramids. Each evening during supper we go through our notes and discuss the different scenarios that may be applicable to the overall valley and hills. There was a fire pit found, ceramics, a 'shrine' (as we call it), and many other things that were very weird.

Right now we have not had time to actually measure and site, as we are being escorted around from one site to another. In the next few days we should have time to start measuring more, and taking more samples. Then we'll know more about the layouts, and what the valley and the hills have to offer.

There is so much geological information available that it is almost overwhelming, but, well, we are not going to make any premature statement. We have some working hypotheses, but we feel we are not educated enough yet to make any hard claims. We are waiting to receive some reports from other scientists who have been on site, and we plan to compare them with our notes and reports.

All we can say is, it is awesome and beautiful over here. We are very fortunate to have this experience, and I am so glad that I was able to follow through with what I had to do to get us here. It was a long shot, but well worth it. And now, here we are! We are having a very good time, working very hard, and seeing some very strange things.

We have not met any rude people - no street bums, druggies, manics, nothing and no one bad. We are meeting just loving, peaceful and smilng individuals. There is now a sense of pride in this Bosnia Country that had been missing since their last war (which at this point I will not get into in this letter). We have learned much though.

We are safe, and so far have not been blown up or shot. The pryramids do sit in a danger zone though - there are land mines in some places, so we are being very careful. Sammie, Mario, and everyone has been extremeley nice to us.

Robert found some bones on the top of the pyramid of the Sun, but we are not sure yet what they are.

A fire pit, some ceramics and other anomalous artifacts have been found and are being sent out for analysis.

Robert is working on the graphics right now, and we are composing a more proper letter. And, as I said, we will try to send pics for Greg to post.

Robert says hello to everyone. I am saying hello to everyone too - and also goodnight, since there is so much work to do we are not getting much sleep. The days are long and hot.

I will sign off for both of us, since I am typing this while Robert is working on something else.

Here is an interesting link about the alleged pyramids:
Welcome to the official website of the Archaeological Park: Bosnian Pyramid of the Sun Foundation.

You can click another link there, and it will take you to the daily news, where you will see Schoch and Dowell. Scroll down on the news, and there must be a hundred pictures of us and what we are doing at the site. You can see photos of us there until we can figure out how to send pics for Greg to post at TDG. We were shocked to see all these pics of us. Since some of the site is in Bosnian, we do not know what the article says -- we are just hoping someone did not write anything we did not state. There is a translator here though who will help us out by reading the news for us.

OK, good bye, and we will try to finish writing, and post, that letter we are working on.

Hello Kat , will you please correct any mistakes. This keyboard's letters are all in different places, and is very difficult to write on. Please correct any typos since I have been working on this for over an hour now, and I'm too pooped to do it myself. Thank You Kat....XC

Note from Kat: My pleasure, Colette! I had already done 99% of the corrections before I found your request at the end. haha Told you it would be hot there! I'm counting on you to remember my ice-in-a-towel method for keeping cool.

thanks Colette

and Robert for keeping us up to date......I wish I had a chance to see what you two are seeing.
I hope there is enough information there for you guys to make a good judgement on all this. Time has a way of transforming things. And we have a way of seeing what we really want to see.....many perspectives are always a good thing..

Yes, thank you

Your post takes us to the Bosnian pyramids vicariously -- it must be the adventure of a lifetime! I hope you will eventually describe the "many things that were very weird" -- that's where I think you'll find the real answers to who built them and perhaps why those structures came into being.

p.s. Don't worry about the typing -- we are so caught up in your on-site enthusiasm, we don't notice.

Exciting and wonderful!

Thanks Colette and Robert for the information, I'm looking forward to further reports and I'm so eager to hear of the geological scientific findings. I breathed a sigh of relief knowing that the people are so cordial, that is great. Be careful in those shafts and in the close quarters, we are glad all is going well. -----------------------------Truth is stranger than fiction.

Crikey!

It is wonderful to know we have someone of our own over there in Bosnia so we will know for sure.
Keep cool and take care.

BTW I printed a lot of stuff you put up before Colette and sent it to my old darling in the nursing home.He was thrilled and being European and having travelled in Bosnia he is very anxious to know what is happening.
I can't get the information out quick enough for him.
He sends blessings and God speed, as do I.

Bosnia

Bosnia is certainly a beautiful country but not because of alledged pyramids. Here you may find an excellent story http://adventures.yahoo.com/b/adventures...

yes it's very beautiful. we

yes it's very beautiful.
we have it all in such a small country from clean rivers to big mountains good for skiing. and the good thing is that you can visit everything by a car.
By the way i was in Visoko on the 3rd day of excavation.
Pretty nice and there warent much ppl then so I talked with experts personally (including Mr Semir).
There was like 20 visitors at the time.

Tell us what you think

Amir, seeing as you have been there, what do you think of the excavations and do you think they are really pyramids?

We at TDG think it is all so exciting and we are anxiously waiting for more news/

shadows

Well I have been up to date

Well I have been up to date with the official web site.
Honestly I am not still convinced that it's a pyramid.
But anyway it's really huge discovery since for me it's obvious that it's man made structure.
Also regarding the experts here in Europe they are agains it because at the time that this was made it was presumed that nothing was here in Bosnia because of the ice age.
In my opinion this will have to change some mainstream thinging about Bosnia beeing a big block of ice just a few thousand years ago, and that is really the main reason why many people in museums warming their chairs for the last 20 years in Bosnia are against this project.

Also please excuse my english for any mistakes.
P.S i have a few pictures i took myself but i don't know if i can post them

Your English is good Amir

Better than my Bosnian.

I think you can post the pics or send them to Greg at this website and he will.

The cult of archaeologists around the world have decided sight unseen that it is not a pyramid.
From the pics I have seen it certainly looks manmade but it is too hard to tell yet.For me that it, not experts.

shadows

thanks

Well I am not expert neither.
But when you see a block of stone that is cube shaped with 90 degrees edges all over it it's hard to think that it's not man made.
When they discovered the layer of small stones (wich was digged out by a 10 year old kid :) ) mainstreamers said that is actually a ancient roman road. But know that they discovered it on few levels i guess they willsay it's ancient roman super highway. :)
One more thing i will possiblly go to Visoko again in few days and tell you what i saw. Maybe i'll meet Mr. Robert and Miss Colette.
Maybe with some new pictures it will be more interesting for Greg to post them.

Great Amir!

We will be looking forward to it.And if you see our friends Colette and Robert please tell them we are cheering them on from here.

shadows

hehe...i'll do that

hehe...i'll do that

This is really exciting!

I loved seeing the pictures - made it all seem so much more 'real' somehow. Thanks Greg for inserting them in Colette's post.

Best wishes all - keep digging!

Regards, Kathrinn.

hello from Colette

Ed note: This comment has been moved to a blog of its own, with pertinent images included - please place your comments there so we can keep track of everything - thanks.

Sorry for the lack of updates, but we have many problems with little time to post anything, plus there are incompatibilities with the software we are using.

Robert sent one photo to Greg of a close up of the layers of strata underneath the so-called “stone pavement” to show scale and size. He placed his hammer on the ledge of strata, unfortunately Robert did not compose a proper letter to Greg to explain the graphics as he wanted to show how the pavement is of natural formation and not manmade, but in a subtle way, not just come out and say, “hey, this is natural and not man made.” It is only man made in the areas it seems when it is deemed needed to create a pyramid structure; that is, like a manufactured pyramid. Photos do not do justice, you must see for yourself or be an educated geologist to see how the strata folds and the layers they are calling pavement are of natural stone and not man made block. I hate to break the news like this, we were hoping to send more photos but find it very difficult. The angle of the Pyramid taken from the air was to show the other sides that are not shown, as the only side that really looks like a pyramid is the only picture that is usually portrayed. We have been to the top and looked hard for any evidence of man made or another involvement of ancient origin, and we are not finding it. We have not talked to Sammie about this yet as he is in Croatia right now.

We do not know what to think – well, we do, but do not know yet how to express it without hurting anyone or taking away from any persons’ dream. There will need to be more evidence somewhere to make me believe it is an ancient pyramid, and I will speak little for Schoch, but he feels the same – we have many samples, none of which are showing ancient man made intervention to create a pyramid. I was thinking of the Rorschach test or however you spell it, one person can see one thing and another a very different object form the same picture, but when you use scientific methodology and really understand geology, fault lines, plastics, clay, sedimentary rock, bedrock, breccia ...on and on...you begin to see how time has created a weird picture form one die that can be interpreted as a pyramid, but, well, how can I say it? So far no scientific evidence of a pyramid, and there is one picture Greg has that he did not know what it was because Robert did not write out and compose a letter to explain more properly due to this. So he was very terse in his captions and did not state that the picture of the hammer and the close up of the strata underneath the pavement would explain very much to the educated eye or even the eye of a person who has the ability to figure things out. We are in a difficult position here; I will have to explain later when I am able to write.

You understand my problem with writing, now it is even more difficult with this keyboard and lack of energy. There are many people who are living for this and many people who do not understand what is going on, but are just going with the flow. I am so glad I have been able to see for myself. I will have to wait and write an article – I have taken many pictures. There are many people who believe, many people who know what is going on, but go along with it as it helps the economy. I feel very sad. I feel bad to break the news that maybe there is no pyramid, but I came here to find out for myself as other newspapers were writing contradicting articles and were wrong and rude and too much gossip. I now know, and I feel terrible for the many people whom I must be responsible for easing them into another form of future hope to put their heart into. It is hard to explain, it will be better when I get home.

Yes Kat, I know, I remember about the ice, but there is no ice here for that. It is terribly hot, I must get up at 5:30 AM to start my medication then I meet up at 7 through 9 with the other people or I have drivers. Many things change daily and I do not know what to do until the actual morning. I hope to fly on Monday, and shoot some aerial shots on the video.

I am very tired. Robert is working on comparing some photos of what we took with another person, and I am here, then I go to dinner and will do some interviews if this man shows up. But I am too tired. It is very emotionally draining in many ways. The tunnels, well, as I told you I had received a report before I left...well the report was not true, I do not know why that geologist would write a false report. I would have never gone into the tunnels if I would have known what they were really like, they could have caved in man times and I told Sammie about the problems with the report, but he had never received it as he told me. So I wonder why would I be sent a false report or a report that does not match up to what the tunnels really are. I will not go into them again, although it was worth the experience, but very hard. I got some video of it.

Also, the inscriptions, the letter E on the famous rock that as found in the tunnels. Well, sorry to tell you this, but those inscriptions were not in the tunnels on that rock initially, I spoke many times with the geologist who first entered those tunnels and found the rock and was in the tunnel many times – those inscriptions were never there, then one morning they just showed up. Now there are more. So, the inscriptions that are on that rock are not true. I hope for the people who thought and wished them to be evidence of some ancient language understand that I am not trying to hurt any one, I am telling the truth. There has been many deceptive happenings here I have become aware of through my investigations. I am to write that up, Robert will write up the geology. I help with half of the geology by pointing things out I see and then I photograph and assist and such, and then discuss and interview. I have talked to many people, so I know quite a bit now.

I wish to get more pictures to you, but they are on my video and on my camera and memory cards, also Robert’s camera, but he has problems with the time to focus on getting things done as there is much demand being placed upon us. Today I just slept, and then tried to walk later and take a break. There were some Germans to come and do some geo-radar, but they were stopped at the Croatian border and were not allowed by Croatia to cross the border with the equipment, or so the story goes...who really knows?

I will meet up with Sammie in another day or so. He is away so I am taking a break from all of this and trying to put things into perspective. I saw much in the newspapers that contradicted other stories – I now see some truths, I see how others have played games, but I see how the newspapers and forums have played bad games and made up stories and used their forums to insult when they should not have. So, I am in a position when I must tell the truth, and I will, I will always keep z integrity and not sell out.

I did hear that Dr Zahi Hawass was interviewed by an ‘Amer’, a student journalist from Egypt. I had arranged an interview with this person before I had left. He showed up last night, but I declined an interview and I knew Robert was in no frame of mind to be interviewed either. So, there has been much going on!

The politics, I mean the real politics of this country are in a way scary. I had this feeling that something was happening with elections and that there was something going on with politics and people in powerful places. I just found out the other day there are elections coming up in September. I met the former president of the whole of Yugoslavia the other day and many other politicians. Well, I wish for Greg to post that picture that Robert sent with the hammer and the layers of strata to show how the pavement is just another layer of natural formation and not that of a side walk or terrace (ed note: done). The sections you see are cut out of the side of the mountain and they are cleaned up to look like they are part of a complex, as if the so-called pyramid is being manufactured when they find something they can “add on” to create it. It has changed very much. Also, there were some areas recovered that showed some geological formations that were very important, as they presented evidence that was not in favor of a real pyramid. All of this is difficult for me to write and I can barely sit here right now. I will try to write again. Robert is having problems too, this has affected us severely, all of the weird things, which will take time to explain in a proper article when I am able to express clearly everything that is going on.

But, what you see, just please realize may not be what is said it is, that is all I can say, and I might have said too much all ready – but I am telling the truth. Much love to everyone.

So, please Greg if you read this, will you please post that photo that Robert sent with the hammer and strata so that people can see the layers and the situation with the pavement.

I also thank everyone very much for their support, as this has been the most difficult trip for me this time. Nothing like Peru, very severe and much different. But, I must say, the Bosnian people themselves are beautiful and lovely people. I feel bad for them when the truth will be revealed in the future at some point in time. It will be a very difficult and sensitive situation for me to have to write it out, and I cannot prematurely do it until I fully understand why this is going on. I do understand some of it – and I am shocked – but you know what, that is why we are here, to see for ourselves.

Thank you, I only have to hang on a few more days here and then we move to Sarajevo and catch our flight in a few more days. Thank you for everything, sorry if I hurt anyone, but I must always tell the truth. I will know more later.

Love Colette

old mining operation

Could it be that this hill was used in an old mining operation and terraced as it is done in many mined areas. It could be very old or more recent. That may explain the inability to determine age. Disturbed long ago but has become compressed strata, not of the stone but of the soil. Have artifacts been found that were conclusively dated to the Bronze age? Just wondering out loud. Love, Pam -----------------------------Truth is stranger than fiction.

Well, we asked for the truth

and you have found it for us.
Yes it is disappointing, but one must know the truth.

Many thanks to you both.

question

Has sonar been used in this area? If so, what were the findings?
