Priory of Scion
Posted by Ganymede at 02:49, 03 Jun 2006Alright, I am by no means an expert, and I haven't read The DaVinci Code or Holy Blood, Holy Grail, but I saw something the other day that kinda shoots this stuff down. The Priory of Scion is a total hoax. The guy who claimed to be the current grand master a few years back in France admitted to making the whole thing up. I mean, what's so great about the blood of Jesus, anyway? It'd be so "corrupted" by now by other blood, it wouldn't hold any supernatural strength anyway. Personally, I believe Jesus had no special powers in the first place, he just had an idea. It happens all the time. It's how religions are started. Anyway, it's my first post, and thanks to those of you who actually read it. Oh, and I'd like to clarify that I don't think I'm right or anything, I saw it on the History Channel, so I'm just relaying the message.

Welcome.
There has been lots of declarations announcing the alleged POS null and void, or never having existed at all. Well...I've reasonable doubt that the Order announced by Msr Plantard was a modern fabrication, but there still remains the possibilty that an earlier Order with the title did exist, or may even have changed its title over the centuries thereby functioning under wraps. They could, conceivably be out there in some form or other. As for Mr Jesus, well..I wasnt there at the time, so I can't vouch for the accuracy of his identity and lifesytle either..its a fine concept, but again, I suspect that much of it has been tailored to cover up the more important role of the female in the scheme of things. A bloodline dating that far back would be difficult for anybody to prove - again, the suggestion might just serve a good purpose as a device to rattle the cage of the Church - a male dominated area that has, in recent years been found out in certain areas to be a repository of sceretive homosexuals and, worse, still paedophiles. Hardly room there for the 'sacred feminine'.

There was at one time a Monastery of Scion. The most common method of establishing a Monastery is from it to begin as a foundation established by another monastery which is refered to as the mother house. Foundations are totally or mostly supported buy the mother house. When the Foundation can provide atleast 50% of its needs, it is raised to the status of a Priory. When a Priory can provide 100% of its needs, it is raised to the status of a Monastery. Conversely, if it can provide for 100% of its needs from the beginning, it starts out a Monastery and there are other combinations in between.
What do you think?

Hmm, so what your saying is the monastery may have come from a priory? It makes sense, and certainly is possible.
