Hi Fahim, all -
The petition signers are not everyone living in those states.
No doubt, it is not even 1% percent of the population of those States, thus, for better or worst most Americans have chosen to take their chances with remaining American citizen. I do think perhaps some of these secessionists should probably pursue a course of dual citizenship as an option and at least engage other European nations with the idea. But this movement did not get started until President Obama beat Governor Romney in the presidential election and now all of sudden these folk want to secede from the United States. This is nothing but shrouded racist confederacy hidden under the concept of liberty and freedom in which some of it definitely can be justified by the United States Constitution. Racism is the base.

The whole "neo-con" thing was based on race from its very start; a simple glance at the electoral map shows that.
The "ideology" or "political theory" for it developed later.
What is bizarre in all of this is that the federal government has been transferring wealth from the northern (unionized) states to the southern ones since World War 2.
I am an independent. By nature I am a very cheap guy, and like as few bureaucrats as possible. Many of the people I knew in the GOP left it because of the neo-cons' antics.
You know there is going to be a heavy debt that is going to have to be paid for this racism, and you know it is coming due.
I don't care what they do.
I just try to stay focused on my work, work on personal development, try to help others, work on my humor, and try to stay focused on the positive. Often a good joke works better than rage.
I recommend watching "Bowfinger" and "Bullworth" to you.
I also recommend remembering your blessings.
