I’m sure many fans have a gut feeling that something is wrong with her act, but still can’t stop listening to her. They must tell themselves, “well, there is nothing else to listen to.” And that’s what media monopolies are all about."

You cannot imagine how Jungiangly dumbfounded I was this morning to see that TDG link speculating that "monsters" such as Nessie might be ghosts. I had started to write a blog entry along those lines yesterday but then got sidetracked and did not complete it. Once you have digested as many of the better TV ghost hunting shows as I have the idea of these fortean creatures being ghosts makes all the sense in the world. Spirits often shape shift like crazy when they are particularly energetic and mischievous. The demonic ones relish morphing into various monstrosities, and if the ghosts of people and creatures such as dogs, cats, horses, whatever can rise from the dead and visually manifest then the idea of a creature separated only by vastly more distant time seems quite possible especially given that one of the first average human illusions to fall by the wayside when ghost hunting is that time carries any weight at all. The "distant" past means absolutely nothing in terms of the ability to manifest in the here and now. Energy apparently resides dormant in matter indefinitely and can be reawakened at any "time."
It would be interesting though to correlate monster sightings with concurrent changes in the local environment. I am thinking especially of radio towers, radar towers and such having been erected in areas where the sightings are condensing. There is a lot of evidence that high powered EMF's can pry loose "ghosts" from their mooring in matter and make them dance before your eyes especially if the area in question also contains large rock formations either subsurface or above, and water is another big factor. Ghosts take advantage of water energy to manifest. That may be why so many of the fortean creatures are water creatures.

This is in response to the thread in today's TDG about various flavors of Deism and Theism. The common argument that no compassionate God would ever have allowed the 20th century's mass murders and all the rest of it is based on a false presumption or one that seems to be more and more false the more we learn about death and its lack of finality. Listening to all those cheerful reports of NDE'ers returning from a land of preternatural beauty and love implies that death is not some cruel happenstance or a banishment to darkness and oblivion. In a larger view death appears to be the place we are most comfortable with and being released from earth life a sort of mercy. It could be argued that a Theity deals in death as compassionately as it deals in life and that in fact the other side of life is just more life - maybe lots more life.

The strange "sound" with it's seismic hum and sometimes hornish howl is continuing to be reported around the world. The spiffy giant underground boring machines look like obvious candidates for the sound source. Some of these thing must make a hell of a racket. The more interesting question is why the apparent flurry of underground boring these day?

I never thought it was fake and was astonished a story came out that it was hoaxed. That story in itself may have been a hoax though. I do not see how this could be a man in a suit. My gut reaction has always been that this footage was the real thing. Every other piece of footage I have so far seen looks probably faked. The P-G film towers over everything else in my opinion.

“We have created a social structure of spirituality that is deliberately created to cause spiritual discord. When people buy books on magic and attend certain seminars and talks on particular types and styles of magic, they are being deliberately mis-taught, as they are being given the keys to create mass conflict through black magic, using spiritual justification of the balance of the light and dark, backing this up with certain philosophies, so that people believe that they are supposed to have the same powers as God, to create for themselves rather than to co-create through free will versus determinism ethic.
