We have heard the stories about disgruntled employees becoming violent. Will this recent event finally cause Big Brother to clamp down?

Look at where he worked. I chuckled when I read that (considering the esteem that mortgages have these days). I really hope this isn't the tipping point, although I doubt it will be as no one was injured.

All of this Big Brother talk in the last couple months has got me a little nervous, what with the internet kill switch bill and Google getting together with Verizon, not to mention all this Facebook "place" what-have-you.

First, I doubt that the (US)government is going to, at least in the near term, try anything to outlaw gun ownership. Even the fringe political extremes know that it could lead to a major citizen disaffection that would also mean huge disruptions in the incumbent status quo, if not even something worse.

Now that being said, if Big Brother ever decided to make a move towards martial law, reigning in gun ownership would almost certainly follow. If that happened, it would be highly likely that some degree of civil war and the breakup of the union would ride its coattails.

But so long as we insist on blaming the inanimate for the poor behavior of the animated, this question will will continue to arise.

Well, that's one way to terminate the Matrix —if time is not an issue, that is :-P

It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!
