more problems in 2012

While things have relaxed on the climate front (or gotten more confusing), there
is more bad news for 2012. You might have problems with the TV reception during the olympics.

Getting snow in your HDTV transmission will be the least of your concerns. You can't have crappy TV signal if there's no electricity to power your TV... or your computer... or the rest of the aplliances in your home... or your home itself.

There's been a lot of talk about a massive solar storm frying satellites' circuitry and even exploding transformers in the electric grid. I think that's part of what 2012 will be all about... but I could be wrong —I hope I am!

It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!

Where I live doesn't need to wait for solar flares, we have enough trouble getting TV reception now. The new, super, digital TV is currently even worse than the analogue, as 2 of the channels can't get their acts together and those who've spent big bucks on bloody great big room-sized sets now find they're only getting 3 channels (in various forms) and not getting 2 others which they used to get before.

I have no reception at home on my mobile phone.

The wonders of current technology - who needs solar flares?!
