...... Christ's new millenial poet or the six hundred and sixty sixth (and one/thirteenth) Baelzebub re-incarnate?



Wee young Donnie has offered the world some beautiful prose, and this may be as appropriate as any a place in which to refer to its unholy contents:

The Unknown

As we know,
There are known knowns.
There are things we know we know.
We also know
There are known unknowns.
That is to say
We know there are some things
We do not know.
But there are also unknown unknowns,
The ones we don't know
We don't know.

I dunno ... you might like to check out the original at Bacardi Feels Thus" ... it's only a theory, but possibly wee young Donnie has a mysterical iguana stuck up his arse. How else could one explain such corny prose?

Donnie Darko actually has a touch of the paranoid in his personality, and this part:

"But there are also unknown unknowns, The ones we don't know We don't know."

is not only a basis for the War against the non-WMD carrying Iraq, but also was a driving force behind the demonisation of the Soviet Republic in the 70s, when Rumsfeld's theory was that if they couldn't find the weapons the Soviets had, then they must just have such advanced and terrifying weapons that 'we really need to shut them down'.

Or maybe it's all just part of his myth-building. Go back to bed America, your government is in control.

That's the scariest thing I've heard in a long time.

I find Rumsfeld about as entrancing as a psychopath when he is postulating the reasons why he had to kill and maim someone.
....it was his fault, he looked at me in a funny way, and I don't like funny looks....

Come to think of it,that's just what he is.
