specifying to the man that the children that the woman generates have 2 different nature:
the children with obedient, volitional, active and worker temperament follows the man’s trait
the children with rebellious, listless, ineffectual temperament follows the woman’s trait
that on origin was a dog…
Have more respect for the women and for the dogs?

Putting the sad misogynous aspect of this story aside for a moment, this is the first time I find a culture considering dogs as rebellious and with "ineffectual temperament"!
Dogs have always been considered the embodiment of fidelity and unconditional love.
Now cats on the other hand... :-P
PS: No, seriously; it is precisely the characteristic 'untameable' nature of cats which created the legend of Bakenekos in Japan.
And Bakenekos are ALWAYS thought to transform into women. So there ;)
PPS: And what's with all these rapings performed by British soldiers? how come there hasn't been any official investigation into the matter??

I know of a few Native American tribes that all humans were descendants from wolves, and any member of the tribe who could "communicate" with them was considered a form a high shaman or holy person because wolves and dogs were linked to the stars (Sirius) and the other world, and therefore their ancestors.

You quotes myths where the animals have a value and their identy, instead the Samburu myth suggest the idea that the "man" is the top "the boss" and all other living beings and things exists just for his need, so animals things and women are the same thing and have the same value: in short they have not value because all are "things", in this situation the dog is an animal that is not necessary to live because he have not good heat as food, fur as dress so he is almost irritating being that eats and sleeps.

Although the Samburu are a pastoral tribe, and one would imagine they use dogs to help them herd their cattle.

This is very plight condition of the women. They are facing with lots of problem. Despite the impediments, they are trying their best for the community and family. The women have even complained to the British army for not making schools and improving the condition of local hospitals.
The problem is not so easy to dissolve because of lack of modernization. They are seen completely conservative. The essential thing for them is education to change their life radically. Recently and urgently they need to be given birth control education and its importance in small family size. Even they must be empowered with various kinds of vocational training.
