Lucedio & Devil
Posted by KATYA at 14:30, 13 Jun 2010Salve
Today I want to show you an almost unknown Italian Princedom.
By the links you can discover its history, and also the music of the Devil painted on the wall of Lucedio’s church: the legends wants that a monk wrote this music to confine the devil into the subterranean of the church, but if you play the melody backwards you set the devil free…
As conclusion you will find the most famous – and most fine ;-) “Devil’s Trill” of Giuseppe Tartini

Interesting. This legend might be the first mentioning of reverse music intended to unleash Satanic forces.
And since we're talking about music inspired by the Evil one, how about this old Mexican rock song, by a group called Fobia —a bit of 80's reminiscence never hurt anyone... much ;)
It's not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me...
It's all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!

Hello Katya, I see you are italian. Yesterday I saw Bad Lieutenant by director Werner Herzog. I know that he also make documentaries now and then and some time back in the 90's I saw one of those which I really liked. So I can thank Herr Herzog for getting my attention to the for me previously unknown mad italian 16th century prince by the name of Carlo Gesualdo. So now I wonder if you know any good sites in english aside from boring Wikipedia where I can read more about him? I hope you don't get offended by calling your countryman mad because we have our own contemporary mad renaissance prince although his schizophrenia didn't bloomed out after he had been crowned king Erik XIV. I think there is a good chance there is a little bit of both Erik and Carlo in the fictional Hamlet.
