Although I've been in Naples (for a day), I didn't have the opportunity to visit Pompeii. I don't know why, but since Vesuvius covered it in ash I have always imagined that the excavated remains were all grey as if everything was made of concrete! I had no idea that so many beautiful vibrantly-coloured frescoes were still to be found there. Your post was a real eye-opener. Thank you.

Often I have visited Naples but never Pompeii :-(
I hope to have the time to visit it before the total collapse :-(

Now I have included also the news and videos f the collapse of the House of the Gladiatoris.
