His name is Girolamo Silverio Calisi, born 93 years ago in Ponza, he has been a fisherman and is famous for an odd virtue: he is a healer, he recovers his patients by his spit.

Since he had 13 years he live in Arbatax, a little town of centre of East Sardinia.
Today Girolamo lives thanks at little social security pension and some little gifts from his ex patients: coffe, fruit, fish, oil, sugar, wine, but never money.
Cilormo, with this name Girolamo is known in his town, benefit from fame that even the doctors have difficult to explain, but exist many testimonies.

Officially the first person recovered been Giuseppe Piras, called Peppineddu.
Story of 30’s, narrated from Aniello Aversano, fisherman born in the 1916:
"Peppe had 8 sheep and 2 cows, his pasture was far 10 metres from the lighthouse, he looked the sea with wide-open eyes but the he was afraid of water, and also the cows was afraid of the water. One day I said "Wet yourself Peppì", when the fish “tracina” cuts his foot, Piras, that have 18 years, shouts, but Cilormo arrives, spit on the wound and Peppineddu can jump again as nothing were happened”.

Rosy Brundu, 27 years, final year University student of Cagliari today says: "Cilormo have always line I am here for a psoriasis chronic on the cutis. Girolamo is not a magician, and don’t needs act of faith, but have solved problems of friends from Cagliari".

Cilormo’s therapy lasts 3 days: for 72 hours his patient can’t eat meat of pig and drink
brandy.
