Mona Lisa pics
Posted by KATYA at 11:07, 10 Nov 2006Ciao!
I have received this e-mail that I want to show you:
“Hello,
I'm writing to you about a New Project designed by and for the Internet users.
The aim of the Mona Lisa Project is a way to work together through a digital picture of Mona Lisa designed from many looks or faces.
This picture (available for several years through Internet) is also a visual directory where painters, sculptors, artists, ... can express their talents through a representative work.
So far, about 100 artists have joined us and currently, the project catches the attention of 250 different people each day.
If you wish, you can take part in the project by booking a place on www.monalisapics.com
Feel free to join me if you need further information.
Sincerely yours,
Patrick Hébrard”
HugshugS!

Look at the concept page.
If you want to post your picture there, they ask you for at least 40 Euro.
And given that they want to fill in 1 billion pixels, and they charge 0.10 Euro per pixel, they aim to make about 100 million Euros.
So much for starving artists.

Artists have to eat, too! So, enjoy the beauty!

sure it looks pretty, I'm just pointing out this is a case of "the large print giveth, and the small print taketh away".
