15 Dicembre: Full Moon of December & Dattreya Jayanti

FULL MOON OF DECEMBER
- The Full Moon of December is the Full Moon most near to the Winter Solstice and states the new light that remembers that we are particles of a one organism that renew itself in every Season.
It is the Moon that governs the tides on the Earth, the Moon of the resistance, of the Darkness, of the Death, of the renascence, of the peacemaking, of the meeting with friends and family, with the solitaries and poor.
It is celebrated presenting white or yellow candles to our near persons, wearing something of yellow, decorating home with solar symbols, burning white or yellow candles and incense anise, lavender, rosemary, eating biscuits with form of the Moon and drinking apple juice.
In a small candle made to spiral decorated by a ilex branch, we can put a candle giving to it all what we want to delete of the old year.

DATTREYA JAYANTI
Fest in honour of Dattreya, incarnation of Trimurti: Brahma the Maker, Vishnu the Keeper, Shiva the Destroyer.
Anasuya was a virtuous woman and Atri Maharishi’s wife.
After a life of many privations Brahma, Vishnu e Shiva appeared to Anasuya offering to execute one her wish; Anasuya said to like 3 children like Brama, Visnu e Shiva.
The 3 Gods satisfied her and immediately she had 3 children, her wise husband understood the divine nature of that event at once embraced the 3 children and they became a single child with 2 feet 3 heads and 6 arms. Growing up he evinced the nature of the 3 Gods and became object of reverence.

LUNA PIENA DI DICEMBRE
- La Luna Piena di dicembre è la Luna Piena più vicina al Solstizio D'Inverno ed indica la nuova luce ricorda che siamo particelle di un unico organismo che si rinnova ad ogni stagione.
E’ la Luna che governa il giro delle maree sulla Terra, la Luna della resistenza, dell’Oscurità, delle Tenebre, della morte,della rinascita, della riconciliazione, dell’incontro con amici e famiglia, con i solitari ed i poveri.
Si festeggia regalando candele bianche o gialle alle persone a noi vicine, indossando qualcosa di giallo, decorando la casa con simboli solari, bruciando candele bianche o gialle e l'incenso anice, lavanda e rosmarino, mangiando biscotti a forma di luna e bevendo succo di mele.
In un moccolo fatto a spirale decorato con un ramo di agrifoglio possiamo mettere una candela attribuendole tutto ciò che vogliamo eliminare dell'anno vecchio.

Festa in onore di Dattreya, incarnazione della Trimurti: Brama il Creatore, Visnu il Conservatore, Shiva il Distruttore.
Anasuya era donna virtuosa, moglie del saggio Atri Maharishi.
Dopo aver vissuto molteplici privazioni Brama, Visnu e Shiva apparvero a Anasuya offrendole di realizzare un suo desiderio; Anasuya dichiarò di desiderare 3 figli come Brama, Visnu e Shiva. I tre Dei l’accontentarono e la donna ebbe immediatamente 3 bambini, suo marito che capì la natura divina di quell’evento abbracciò subito i tre bambini ed essi divennero un solo bambino con 2 piedi, 3 teste e 6 braccia. Crescendo manifestò le qualità dei 3 Dei e divenne oggetto di venerazione.
