It's good but not recommended viewing for biblical fundamentalists.

Long time not emlong! (that's almost a palindrome)

I made some edits to the above blog to hopefully clarify. (Of course that's not going to help fundamentalists, haha!) The cosmology thing is a spin-off (no pun intended) of my biblical/mythological research and I haven't had much time to pursue it as a separate line of study.

For example, it's not quite clear whether there was more than one cosmology recognized by ancient man or just different allegorical representations of a single model/theory. Also, the cosmological drama was played out by each successive royal dynasty, so they tended to adapt the story according to fit the number princes and princesses there were available to assume the divine roles in any given generation. Regardless, the characterization is so strong that the dramatization of cosmology ("as above so below") must have been a fundamental-ist element of royal culture.

Anyway, this beats falling asleep on Thanksgiving during a football game.

I should have been more specific in my warning which was pointed at American southern Baptists mostly. I have a few in my family and know they shrink in horror from these beautifully animated visualizations about what is really going on out there and the distances and times pertaining.
