I originally hoped to get my remarks to Keith Chester directly but couldn't find an email address to use.
I recently finished reading STRANGE COMPANY. I applaud Mr. Chester's doing a fairly exhaustive overview (with original sources) no one had done before. This pretty much obliterates most foo fighter-as-Nazi-weapon speculation, since all combatants--Axis and Allies--saw and wondered at them, and few met the descriptions found in German experimental files.
In the next edition, I hope Mr. Chester cleans up some typos and loose or confusing minor language, as well as the major screwup on p.109 where he confabulates the Hiroshim & Nagasaki a-bombs (Little Boy & Fat Man, respectively) as "Fat Boy."
Oops. I find one chief objection to such superficial glitches is that they allow debunkers to ridicule the whole the study--and its greater implications--by hanging on a few dumb points. That was the gist of much of Phil Klass' approach in attacking various anomalous matters.
Congratulations, Mr. Chester, on shining a good strong light on a subject most have only touched on in passing!
