Modern Nazca lines?
Posted by tehotu at 00:15, 26 Sep 2006This is another strange road in the Pisco region in Peru (see my other entry re: Band of Holes near Pisco Valley). It is about 20m wide and goes for many miles through the desert (I think it is mainly military area). It is lighter than its surroundings and marked by small craters spread apart in equal intervals (approximately 200m). This entire zone has many precise lines in the desert with unclear purpose...

"Band of Holes" near Pisco Valley, Peru
Posted by tehotu at 06:41, 22 Sep 2006Thousands of man-sized holes are carved into the barren rock near Pisco Valley, Peru on a plain called Cajamarquilla. These strange holes, stretching for a mile over uneven mountain terrain, were here for so long that the local people have no idea who made them, or why. Funny thing is no one really saw the big picture until the area was seen from the air.
I was skeptical until I found it on satellite photos on Google Earth:

Self Identity
Posted by tehotu at 04:14, 19 Jan 2006Let me bring to you the context of the Ego article (my previous post) from this page:
http://www.world-mysteries.com/sci_3.htm...
The following is a quote from the "Buddha Gospel":
"Only through ignorance and delusion do men indulge in the dream that their souls are separate and self-existent entities. Thy heart, O Brahman, is cleaving still to self; thou art anxious about heaven but thou seekest the pleasures of self in heaven, and thus thou canst not see the bliss of truth and the immortality of truth.
"I say to thee: The Blessed One has not come to teach death, but to teach life, and thou discernest not the nature of living and dying.
This body will be dissolved and no amount of sacrifice will save it. Therefore, seek thou the life that is of the mind. Where self is, truth cannot be; yet when truth comes, self will disappear. Therefore, let thy mind rest in the truth; propagate the truth, put thy whole will in it, and let it spread. In the truth thou shalt live forever. Self is death and truth is life. The cleaving to self is a perpetual dying, while moving in the truth is partaking of Nirvana which is life everlasting."
Inborn Patterns of Sexual Behavior?
Posted by tehotu at 07:07, 13 Jan 2006It seems to be certain that inborn patterns of our sexual behavior, just like our other instincts, are based on inherited “patterns of connections” in specific areas of our midbrain. Check it out>>

Life after Death
Posted by tehotu at 07:00, 13 Jan 2006Said the Blessed One: "Suppose a man were to light a lamp; would it burn the night through?" "Yes, it might do so," was the reply. "Now, is it the same flame that burns in the first watch of the night as in the second?" [...] the flame of today is in a certain sense the same as the flame of yesterday, and in another sense it is different at every moment. Moreover, the flames of the same kind, illuminating with equal power the same kind of rooms, are in a certain sense the same."

Ego - The False Center
Posted by tehotu at 06:57, 13 Jan 2006A child is born without any knowledge, any consciousness of his own self. [...] He does not know who he is; he simply knows what others think about him. And this is the ego: the reflection, what others think.

Electric lights in Egypt?
Posted by tehotu at 05:58, 06 Dec 2005It is a widespread belief in alternative science that our forefathers possessed a much greater technological knowledge than our schoolbook science is willing to accept. However many of those theories are lacking serious foundation and are often based on overdrawn speculations. Is that true in case of the

The Emerald Tablet of Hermes
Translation of Issac Newton c. 1680.
Tis true without lying, certain & most true. That wch is below is like that wch is above & that wch is above is like yt wch is below to do ye miracles of one only thing.
And as all things have been & arose from one by ye mediation of one: so all things have their birth from this one thing by adaptation.
The Sun is its father, the moon its mother, the wind hath carried it in its belly, the earth its nourse.
The father of all perfection in ye whole world is here.
Its force or power is entire if it be converted into earth. Seperate thou ye earth from ye fire, ye subtile from the gross sweetly wth great indoustry.
It ascends from ye earth to ye heaven & again it desends to ye earth and receives ye force of things superior & inferior.
By this means you shall have ye glory of ye whole world & thereby all obscurity shall fly from you.
Its force is above all force. for it vanquishes every subtile thing & penetrates every solid thing. So was ye world created.
From this are & do come admirable adaptaions whereof ye means (Or process) is here in this.
Hence I am called Hermes Trismegist, having the three parts of ye philosophy of ye whole world.
That wch I have said of ye operation of ye Sun is accomplished & ended.
Translation of Issac Newton c. 1680.
