I only wish this series was available on DVD in Australia -- it's available to order from Amazon, the Smithsonian, etc, but different region codes means I can't play it on my mac. I heartily recommend Wade Davis's book of the same title -- no photos though, so it's worth watching the doco and searching for photos online while reading it to enhance the experience.

Wade Davis deserves a Nobel.
