News Briefs 14-09-2017

Word has it Stephen King has already signed a deal with SyFy for the It sequel: Clownado!: "They float, but you'll fly!"

Thanks to Cass, Greg and my Grimerican buds for letting me chat with one of my heroes.

Quote of the Day:

"The web is becoming the medium of choice for disinformation and misinformation, including official efforts to inject new 'memes' into the culture. Although I remain an optimist about the web as a medium for free exchanges of data and faster communication of high value and faster communication of high value, it is also a potential tool for propaganda, false rumors intentionally planted and for a range of techniques designed to alter or filter social reality."

New experiment/bias: I don't need a study to prove this, all I have to do it read the article you posted above it :P

Die hard: You know...for kids! Now make one of Twin Peaks...so I can enjoy it with my damn fine hot cocoa.

...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................

Mary Magdalene probably looked closer to this:

No wonder the disciples were surprised that Jesus used to kiss her on the mouth. Ouch.

Jim Carrey - seems like he has been reading Holographic Universe and studying quantum mechanics and the idea that we're just interference patterns of energy coalescing through space/time in a holographic reality, in which every part contains the whole, hence no I, only we, i.e. all derived from the one whole aka "God"...whatever that is... Regardless I do like his musing how meaningless the Hollywood thing is, of course easy to say after you've made your millions and benefitted from the idolatry of fans. :-)
