Just another day here in Australia...

Quote of the Day:

The main thing that I learned about conspiracy theory is that conspiracy theorists actually believe in a conspiracy because that is more comforting. The truth of the world is that it is chaotic. The truth is, that it is not the Jewish banking conspiracy or the grey aliens or the 12 foot reptiloids from another dimension that are in control. The truth is more frightening, nobody is in control. The world is rudderless.

Alan Moore

It is quite possible to observe, record, and reveal human actors who gather together to do things in secret for nefarious ends while not believing that they "control the planet." Mafias do not necessarily "control the planet," but they certainly can and do exert control over segments of the population, and sometimes mafias can conglomerate to wreak a larger havoc.

Moore's characterization of journalism devoted to conspiracy which must also include the legal insights into conspiracy - after all "conspiracy" is a standard legal term - by trying to label it as an affair of reptoids, gray aliens, etc. is the standard breezy and superficial rebuttal used by people who are themselves temperamentally unsuited to focusing their attention on the unscrupulous who appear to be a permanent part of the human population - "grays" and "reptoids" need not apply.

One can just as easily state that it is people like Moore who are wedded to a "comfort zone" that makes them intellectually lazy and reckless on this subject

So what exactly is so "bizarre" about the idea that certain early paintings might contain imagery referencing UFO's? Vallee's book "Passport to Magonia" listed numerous written accounts of sightings stretching far back into human history. Are these sightings somehow not bizarre when they are just written about instead of painted about, or is the author of the article just ignorant of the literature? Of course, the theory of painted imagery is not "new" either.

Sorry I fell asleep on my keyboard.

Snake: Gizmodo, it is not a murder. It's nature. Get over it.

Titanic: This is one of those "You're probably right, but no one will believe you because no one likes change" moments.

Organ: When you rank up...and you make your friend rage quit in a stream...yup.

...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................
