If the machine elves were fish, they would hang out on this coral reef….

Quote of the Day:

No matter how complex our instruments may be, no matter how sophisticated and subtle our theories and calculations, it’s still our consciousness that finally interprets our observations. And it does so according to its knowledge and conception of the event under consideration. It’s impossible to separate the way consciousness works from the conclusions it makes about an observation. The various aspects that we make out in a phenomenon are determined not only by how we observe, but also by the concepts that we project onto the phenomenon in question.

  1. Mindfulness and Meditation . . .
Some things to keep in mind when meditation is attacked as a way to reduce stress, anxiety, and a path to mental balance and inner tranquility . . .

    1. If we take up meditation and eschew pharmaceuticals to achieve naturally what Big Pharma is selling to us in pill form, it’s going to cost those hyenas trillions in profits in whatever currency you choose to calculate it.

2.If it works, many pricey therapists will be looking for other work.

    3. The 21st century capitalist economic system relies on highly anxious workers in order to keep them frantically multi-tasking so fewer of them are needed and human capital expenses are kept to a minimum. No surprise that this piece shows up in a publication directed to Human Resource managers, since their primary purpose these days is to protect the organization from its workers.

      1. Not a conspiracy theory
        Economics and Adam Smith.

Take some economics classes. They explain the world and human behavior far better than any fairy tales about, for example, government UFO cover ups, Reptilian hybrids, chemtrails, the New World Order, or the Illuminati.

You want to know what real mind control is? It’s whatever Apple’s latest marketing strategy is. If you’re panting for the next iPhone release, it’s got you by the short hairs and you won’t even realize it. When it comes to mind control, it makes the CIA and other intelligence agencies failed attempts look laughingly bush league.

        1. The catchall type thinkers
The catchall type thinkers who love to commit “association fallacy” on the so called “conspiracy community” would lump into the soup your ideas about meditation with which I happen to agree, but here your rebuttal to me is a bit of the pot calling the kettle black.

Actually, economics as a study has been brought to be bear very felicitously in examining “cui bono” of 9/11/2001.

Yeah, if economics are psychological…and there are anxious & fearful people (when anxious & fearful human beings both tend to be more conservative & we start trying out brave new things) & taking the Moist Robot hypothesis (that we don’t have Christian free will, but, rather, aren’t really aware of why we make our decisions & that we tend to have the same outputs to the same inputs & that some people are aware of this & can actively manipulate it — cf. Trump)

And if economies are cyclical things and if they can be predicted…

Imagine a world where we all are practicing some Way of Liberation, like meditation…where stock brokers have their ‘morning meditation’…where politicians test their ideas first before trying to make them law…

No imagination required – that is already happening on an increasing scale. That perhaps explains why the human planet is convulsing at the moment.

Which would include I think things like September 11 — no need to have a large group of people, but, rather, a small group
