Do not go where the path may lead, go instead where there is no path, and leave a trail.

  1. News
Jewelry: And someone in the alien community is thinking, “Only advanced tools can make this, therefore aliens!” And I am thinking if you have to say that then you are not an artist.

Amelia: The freckle cream always saddened me. The fact that to this day people think they are ugly because of freckles is just wrong. We think we are better today but as a whole we are not. Please people, tell your kids they are beautiful.

Crop Glyphs: Link broke *plays Price Is Right losing music*

Ice Monster: This time you can actually see that there is nothing under the ice. My guess is that a piece of fishing line or rope becomes frozen and then floats down the river. That a the currents of the river push and pull it along.

Dogs: Correction, dogs prefer body language and sign language is essentially that and therefore easier for them to interpret. That doesn’t mean that verbalizations don’t work, but chances are you are doing it wrong. You need to speak his language. Next time your dog won’t stop barking, instead of yelling NO or STOP, try growling with a low grumble towards him. This is the dog’s way of saying “Knock it off!”

  2. redesign
I don’t know why many sites and many tools today prefer white background and light blue text. Do they get kickbacks from the folks selling reading glasses?

    1. white vs. black
White is currently in and seen as very clean. Blue is usually associated with more business related, serious news stories. Black backgrounds are usually seen as very 1990s style and outdated (present company excluded of course). As a designer I prefer the white background because it looks cleaner, but as for the blue lettering, that’s on them because black lettering is the normal preference. Of course it depends on the subject matter. A site like TDG looks good with the black with white on top. The black and white mixed is becoming a standard for magazines.

I’m sorry if that was hypothetical, but I felt it needed answering. Usually when web designers make a page nowadays, it focuses too much on aesthetics and not function because function isn’t important. What’s important is how many ads can I fit on here. *cough**cough*DailyMail*cough**cough*

  3. noise in the north
    That one is easy.
The noise in the Canadian Arctic has a slavic accent I’m sure. Because the Russians are coming. They say they own the North Pole, and they are taking it home with them.
