“The Tao is like a well: used but never used up…”

Quote of the Day:

“…It is like the eternal void: filled with infinite possibilities.”

Laozi

  1. Recognize the Tao
It is good to know you are a fan of Lao Tse. He doesn’t get much consideration anymore with all the other noise that wants to be heard.
The book of Tao is one of my favorite reads. It always seemed to me that this is what one would discover if they were fortunate not to have been programmed since birth with the dogmatic views of our cultures. This somehow has kept humans at odds with nature as if we are not a part but are suppose to dominate and control.

The following is my favorite verse of Tao. Though it is kind of long it would be enlightenment to fully understand and be able to live as such.

Lao Tse, “Achieve the highest goal by being passive; hold close to a state of perfect serenity. Everything comes into existence, but observe, returns to its source. Thus, vegetation flourishes and grows, but returns to the soil whence it came. Returning to source is serenity; it is to realize one’s destiny. To realize one’s destiny is to know the Eternal Constant. To know the Eternal Constant is to be enlightened. To be ignorant of this is blindness that begets evil. Whoever knows the Eternal Constant is open-minded. Being open-minded is to be impartial, being impartial is to be above nations and laws, being above nations and laws is to be in accord with God. Being in accord with God is to be eternal. Although his body may die and decay, he shall live forever.”
