Quote of the Day:

“We live in a Philip K Dick world now. The technology-led, military-led big names like Asimov, Robert Heinlein and Arthur got it dead wrong. They were all strong on the military as subject matter, on space wars, rational futures – essentially, fascist futures – and none of these things really matters today. It’s Dick and people like Frederik Pohl and Alfred Bester who were incredibly successful in predicting the future, because they were interested in social change, ecology, advertising. Look at Facebook, Twitter, Apple, Google . . . These are Philip K Dick phenomena.”

˜Michael Moorcock

  1. Reich
Orgone energy is best experienced rather than theorized about. Orgonite is one avenue in. The energy is somewhat like sexual energy or excitement but does not elicit sexual fantasies. It feels like what must underlie sexual energy, hence the vague descriptor “life force’ that Reich used. “Feeling is understanding.”

    1. Excitement
Like euforia, you’d reckon? Reminds me of some of the things Ray Stanford mentions on the podcast I also linked, and how an impending UFO sighting is preceding by a sense of what he calls ‘UFOria’.

  2. Man out of time
I think I’ve seen him before. There used to be a show to go along with this website and they used to travel all around NJ looking for the weird. They came to my town a few times. It’s sad as hell that those bigoted jackasses were calling him names. That’s the side of NJ I hate. You get these small towns that are so damn bigoted! If you ask me, he’s a brilliant man.

    1. Brilliant
I don’t claim to understand his reasons, but I respect the man for remaining true to himself despite all the obstacles he has to endure. And ot really is quote telling how people react so NEGATIVELY toward him; a hint he might actually be on the right track…

  3. Lizard Man
I feel like both the lizard man and the “man out of time of NJ” would be right at home at today’s Renaissance fairs and comic cons. I mean really with all the furries and LARPers running around being out of place would not be a concern…at least not at the cons I’ve been to 😛

  4. Moorcock and Dick got it right, indeed . . .
We don’t need to fear a future that contains a “Skynet”, we need to fear a future where someone finally crashes the Internet or most of it. We’ve already had all of our privacy hacked and we still don’t know the full ramifications of that.

What happens when all of our Internet dependent vehicles, appliances, and machinery can’t operate? It’s already been demonstrated that a Jeep can be hacked. It doesn’t take a genius IQ to figure out the “Internet of Things” can be hacked, too.

We have been brainwashed by Big Tech propaganda and believe that all new technology is good, unless it’s specifically designated for weapons. What we fail to realize is that all technology is weaponizable and your beloved smartphone can be used to trigger a bomb that can bring down an airliner or an elementary school

We’re already deep in the woods, and can’t see the forest for the trees.

  5. Lizard suit
I would bet the farm (if I had one) this is a custom prosthetic suit made by a perhaps bored, yet talented individual with a good knowledge of sculpting, casting, and molding prosthetic appliances,. it’s really a nice one too :D. I used to do this type of work (not a full lizard suit though) in the “Industry” a long time ago and far far away (Holly-weird) but it is something I cannot easily forget, though I try 😛
For me the telltale signs were; Where the neck meets the body (possible separate headpiece)
The hands/claws, and feet, (outrageous! lol). The back of the knee bending (obvious fold). And finally the tail (why would he drag it with such an obviously strong muscular sculpting?)
IMO the guy that created this has some real talent for special effects, and the dramatic.
Disclaimer: Yes I could be mistaken, all I had to go on was the one photo, But I am at the least, 90% sure.

    1. It suits them
The tail was the thing that bothered me the most. They were far too careless with it.

Not to mention the pose itself. You can almost hear it whistling as it nonchalantly struts in front of the camera! 😉

  6. Jacob’s Ladder
Classic rabbit hole fodder, and one of my first “red pills”. It was indescribably captivating, enlightening, and confusing all at the same time.

I watched “Jacob’s Ladder” when it was released in theatres. I expected a typical thriller but JL went beyond that, diving head first down the rabbit hole in a way that opened my mind to possibilities, what ifs, and questions like “so… what just happend, exactly?” and “where did reality end and dreaming begin” and “what the hell is reality anyway, and how would we know the difference?”

I waited for it to come out on VHS (ya, VHS rentals, I’m almost old!) and rented it, and watched it again. And again. I have since watched it many times over the years, and continue to enthusiastically recommend it to anyone who hasn’t seen it.

Great movie, if anyone hasn’t seen it yet go watch it now. Like, immediately. It’s that good.

    Cheers!

    1. Rabbit hole fodder
Heh. I also remember when you have to return the tape all rewinded, otherwise Blockbuster would charge you a penalty fee 😉
