Scarfolk to host British Science Festival in 2016!

Quote of the Day:

We all have a right to know, and if the government has been suppressing information about other life forms, that’s the cruelest hoax of all.

Dwight Schultz

  1. Scientology
Did anyone watch that documentary? I saw it and found it very interesting. Most interesting is the fact that the FBI stopped doing anything about it. I felt like some of the big shots in Scientology are paying people off to keep quiet about it. But theirs no doubt about it, it’s a cult. Then again a lot of religions started off with all the things this “religion” is going through. Did a crazy guy start it? Yes. Do yo hound members for money? Yes. Do you kill or threaten members if they sway away from your beliefs? Yes. Are you against other religious beliefs or a particular group of people? Yes. Many of the members became alienated because they were homosexual, which is frowned upon deeply in Scientology. This includes some of the celebrities *wink wink*. The only reason SOME other religions don’t do it anymore (or when they do it’s a secret) is because it’s being brought to the lime light and people are no longer afraid of God smiting them. I just hope that the documentary opens the eyes of the people who can actually do something about it. Scientology will slander you in the same manner as a high school bully, or shoot your dog and stalk your children. Yeah…lets join that 😛

    1. Going Clear & Running Dry
I haven’t watched it –hopefully it will be offered in Netflix someday– but I remember listening to a Binnall of America episode, in which Tony Ortega –a journalist who has investigated Scientologist for many years– mentioned something interesting: That Scientology’s cruise ship Freewinds is nowadays offered for non-Scientology related events and conferences.

The reason is simple: The church doesn’t have the money to keep the vessel sailing the seas as it was originally intended by Hubbard. The golden egg-laying goose is finally running dry, which is why documentaries like these are finally seeing the light.

According to the documentary they have roughly 100,000 members across the entire world, yet they are buying up real estate in big countries and cities as if preparing for an influx of members. This makes me wonder do they have some really big backers that we don’t know about in world government.

The documentary was on HBO so they may be repeating it throughout the week if you get it. It is on iTunes I believe.

Hrm, just had a look and for some reason you were no longer subscribed to the ‘Trusted User’ member list in the database (which skips around the anti-spam measures). Not sure how that happened – have entered you back in, so hopefully all is good from now on. Let me know if you have any more problems!
