I'm rereading Graham Hancock's Fingerprints of the Gods, and it's interesting that Quetzalcoatl was often described as having large eyes. From Chapter 14, page 110 (emphasis mine):
...sixteenth-century Spanish chronicler Juan de Torquemada asserted that... Another spoke of [Quetzalcoatl] as, 'era Hombre blanco; a large man, broad browed, with huge eyes... Another still described him as 'a white man with strong formation of body, broad forehead, large eyes, and a flowing beard.
Broad browed, huge eyes... Maybe Quetzalcoatl and his friends were the last of the Neanderthals. Maybe my hair is growing out like Giorgio's!

It is refreshing to have a world leader that doesn't like to be treated like RIOYALTY, has the intellectual ability to solve the WORLD PROBLEMS, and won't KOWTOW to the U.S.!!! I love this guy's sense of humor and I hope that the Cardinals are forgiven!!!
But, will the U.S. forgive the Cardinals?

...and yet so many people have high hopes (or denial at this point) that he will be more open minded and drop all the Catholic Church's long held beliefs about abortion, birth control, gay marriage, etc., but he's not. He stated himself he is against those things. Even though the former Pope had a computer, having a Twitter account does not mean you are "with the times." Sorry but I don't think that the Church will be changing, at least not the people within it's walls. I think it is going to be left in history's dust, and more importantly, it's leaving many of it's followers in the dust because I know plenty of Catholics who support those things.
The Catholic Church has in many ways become the angry old man who yells at kids to get off his lawn while brandishing a cane and shaking his arm :P
Ok, I'm going to stop now so I don't start a political banter on this site.

Oh the design world is going gaga with this 3D-printing craze. It's either hailed as the greatest revolution since the introduction of the personal computer, or the curse that will put every design professional out of a job & flipping burgers at McDonald's ;)

i remember learning in elementary school (this was in the 70s) that one of the most important skills to be able to learn was how to adapt. lifelong career jobs were gone/going. technological miracles were happening all the time. the importance of being good & kind. i didn't learn aboot things like cynicism & pessimism until i got to college ;3

Yeah, we know the 3D-printing technology means a big adaptation, but we are not sure just how big.

He could be the Black Pope. Jesuit's leader is called the Black Pope, because of the color of their robes.

Francis I is the present Peter of Rome. Both of his parents were of Italian desent; therefore; in a sense, he is Roman. Technically, most Italians are desended from the Germanic tribes that conquered the Roman Empire! The Romans were very short. The midgets in Rome are descendants of the Romans. Julius Caesar, a very tall Roman, was about 5ft. 6in. tall. So, Pope Francis I may be Petrus Romanus; but, Pope Francis I is also Petrus Germanicus II.
