Quote of the Day:
"Why this sudden bewilderment, this confusion?
(How serious people’s faces have become.)
Why are the streets and squares emptying so rapidly,
everyone going home lost in thought?
Because night has fallen and the barbarians haven't come.
And some of our men just in from the border say
there are no barbarians any longer.
Now what’s going to happen to us without barbarians?
Those people were a kind of solution."
~C.P. Cavafy, "Waiting for the Barbarians" (excerpt)

Probono breast squeezing, I mean probono breast cancer treatment works best when you relax with the patient in a hot bath or on a bed!

If you use a bed, the bed should have a soft fur under sheet and you should wear soft fur gloves. The bed should be in a warm room and you should play soft music in the background!

I hear some zoos will pay you a fortune for a really big specimen -- if you bring it in alive and healthy, that is.
Check out the track this monster left behind:
Giant serpent (15 metres long!) invades island near Phuket.

Unless that ground was incredibly hard, one would expect a giant serpent to leave a deeper impression.

if you look at the rest of the street they are standing on, it is the same texture (cobblestone?) only more covered in mud. Notice the tidal marker sticks in second photo. You can see how high the water was. This is clearly not a snake but a sting ray or bottom feeder moving from the shallows into deeper water as the tide changes. Phuket has a lot of stingrays:

The way that the often unentertaining entertainment industry and related industries are playing this, they are going to squeeze atleast 5 more movies out of the Apocalypse. The entertainment industry is planning for possible Apocalypses on December 21st,2013~2016 and it probably won't end there! If Hollywood can milk 50 years out of the James Bond Series, there's no telling how many years Hollywood can milk out of the Apocalypse!
Hollywood doesn't seen to care about the fact that the Apocalypse is causing children around the world to abandon all hope and, in many cases, commit suicide!!! Furthermore, the Hollywood Bull Sh!t has nothing to do with Mayan Long Count Calendar which only says that a new era or age will begin some time, maybe today. Hollywood has transformed it into the Judeo-Christian Apocalypse and they have put it on BLESSED YULE to insult many of our ancestors.
We need to tell Hollywood to put a sock it! So, to Hollywood I say, "Shut The Fu(k Up!!!!!

Hollywood always over plays things, make certain groups of people or animals (like wolves) a stereotype and look bad, and no it doesn't care about what happens to the children. Although, I am curious what the History Channel plans to do now that it will have nothing to talk about if the end doesn't come, on it's Rated G programming :P
ps - if we are all wrong and it does end tomorrow (come 3 hrs EST from this post) it was nice to know you all and see you in the next Age ;)

.............da f@#$ did I just read? does anyone else see how he trails off a third of the way through and doesn't go back on track until near the end. It becomes conspiracy type ramble, at some points he seems.....high. The only part I understood is the section on the hare which changed his life. Hare was the culture hero of many Native American tribes. It was their equivalent to the Egyptian Thoth and the Greek Hermes, and they later related certain aspects of it's legend to the virgin birth of Jesus and tale of Orpheus. I have a sneaking suspicion that his new found "relationship" with the internet IS Opti. Many portions of Opti's description sounds like how one would describe the internet and how it is used. It makes me think he dropped some bad acid while reading about UFOs, Bigfoots, legends, and porn while on the internet.

FWIW Opticus reminded me of Castañeda's 'Eagle': a creature that endows us with consciousness so that it can feed upon our experiences when we die.
All very gnostic IMO :)

There is, however, more than one translation of most of the Dead Sea Scrolls. In the case of many of the scrolls, there are 3 or 4 translations. So, translations of the Dead Sea Scrolls need to be cross referenced with each other.
