Just don't let it get over your head ;)

So, I clicked the first link and my head exploded. I'll be back to digest this once I manage to de-explode. I remember a picture of a tree with an extensive above-ground root system and thinking that every tree on earth is part of the earth's nervous system. Then I recall thinking that the universe is a bad M. Night Shyamalan movie. A dio.

I read Dr. Andrulis' actual paper, and I must say the theory is elegant. I look forward investigating the mathematical model when such appears, and of course, the follow-up questions: which are the conditions of such structure appearing on the scale we witness it, and do we have, exempli gratia, temperature limits for the structure to work.
The title of Science Daily article is a bit misleading, because we would have to derive which are the conditions of calling a molecular structure "living" first. Deeper in the article the phrase used is "life-like characteristics". But, the aforementioned is all semantics.
Truly wonderful. Thank you G.C for sharing.
If this is creation, I feel misplaced.
