i learned how to imitate raven calls when i was young and decided to test it out by "talking" with a raven perched outside my house. all i did was imitate his calls, not knowing of course what i was saying :P
needless to say he brought me a twig.....sadly our true love can never be........
...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................

Reminds me of David Abram's Becoming Animal, the language of nature and beasts and the elements. We anthropomorphise animal communication to understand it, whereas perhaps we should be going the other way... become animal ourselves.

I read that for a class on the subject. And wrote a lengthy paper on how humans learned our language and how we interact from the animals.
...I forgot how I got here but everyone seems to be heading off in that direction. I hope someone brought food. I have a feeling this is going to be a long journey................
