  1. Hackers Inc
    In ref: Gary McKinnon

Hell, maybe this guy DID discover something about UFOs but… to date, he don’t have a lot to offer.

Beyond that, I had my PC hacked, my bank account raped and my family put through months of torture trying to figure out how to replace the stolen funds, where their privacy went and what kind of security was there when it was all over.

We lost my daughter’s college fund to someone and nobody was responsible.

Yes, I blame the banks for being so flippant with my money and my info but I do also see hackers as burglars… thieves.

No pity, no sympathy and no support. Lock him away.

    1. McKinnon stole people’s money?
Bit of a difference between what McKinnon did and the hacker/s who stole your money, Redoubt.

The man did the crime, but surely he’s done the time by now. The punishment, prolonged and media-obsessed, has been more than enough already. Authorities are only pursuing McKinnon to save face and to push their anti-terrorism/cyber laws. China has done far worse in matters of national security, and been caught at it too.

  2. Politicians in Ancient Egypt?
    From the People’s Daily link:

“Thoth was considered one of the most important deities of the Egyptian pantheon. In art, he was often depicted as a man with the head of a baboon.”

Expecting to be worshipped, limited mental capacity, hmmm… sounds like a politician to me!
