News Briefs 17-09-2008

Paranormal, science, faith, greed, zombie brains… today’s news has it all.

Thanks to Greg and Kat.

Quote of the Day:

Money can’t buy friends, but it can get you a better class of enemy.

Spike Milligan

    1. Spike
I first encountered Spike Milligan at the World Expo in Brisbane way back in 1988 when I was a kid. He scared me. Took me a while to overcome my fear, but I’m glad I did! I like his method of peeing without getting out of bed in sub-zero temperatures during WWII — it involved a long piece of hose. Funny and practical, he is missed.

Glad you liked the news collection too. There’s so much posted each week by the Scooby Gang, I’m surprised you can keep up, or don’t get sick of it all!

      1. Dear Rick …
Get sick of it all? How could I possibly do that? You guys bring the world to my living room (and work damn hard to do so). I appreciate it all.

Okay – so maybe I don’t read every item, but I do read most of them + the blogs and comments + all the interesting things Greg brings to our attention. How on earth would we know what was going on in our world without TDG.

Believe me – you are all much loved and appreciated.

        Best regards, Kathrinn

  1. Why opening presents become less exciting as you get older
Another possible theory, that wouldn’t need to invoke weird chemical neurotransmitters and all that science fancy shmancy, is the inevitable toll taken from receiving socks and underwear on Xmas year after year after year! 😉

It’s not the depth of the rabbit hole that bugs me…
It’s all the rabbit SH*T you stumble over on your way down!!!
