      I don’t know either which artifacts he is talking about. But suppose there are some in Mexico. If we have artifacts that old, it is very hard to determine when they got to Mexico.

      Rome is easier to get to from India, you can walk. And I’m sure that artifacts were traded by way of Persia. The Romans traded, indirectly, with China at some point. Also, Alexander got to India. It seems quite likely that his people looted some stuff there, or bought it, and some of it ended up in Rome. My point is that there was contact between India and Rome for a long time. Indian seamen may well have helped with the trade.

      Mexico is another case. But in defense of Dr. Kamat (who I have never heard of before, perhaps I should have), he does not say that Indian seamen traveled to Mexico.
