News Briefs 02-07-2008

In recent months my PC blew up, my mobile died and the repairman can’t figure out why, my television stopped working, my mp3 player plays weird distorted sounds, my new Mac has faulty screen resolution, and the cat is looking at me like it’s all my fault.

Thanks Greg and Kat.

Science may set limits to knowledge, but should not set limits to imagination.

  2. Yeah I went to that Vance
Yeah I went to that Vance Gellert exhibit — here in Minneapolis — at the recommendation of my best book buddy, this beat-nik former art professor who is 83 years old. He chatted with Vance Gellert for a couple hours and was informed about the annual shaman conference in La Paz. It’s been turned into a kind of tourism deal but oh well.

  3. psilocybin mushrooms
”I don’t think the evidence is sufficiently strong for any beneficial effect in general for us to consider changing the legality of these substances until a great deal more research is done,” Schuster says. “But the illegality should not interfere with this research.”[emphasis mine]
This raises an interesting question: Should scientific research be above the laws —even stupid ones?

  4. In recent months,…
Well Rick MG, now you have the material to write a Country song, Or a Western song. Or both.

Alternatively you could go the way of the Blues, and come out with something positive.
