To forget one’s purpose is the commonest form of stupidity.

  1. Sergeant blows whistle on 911 inside job
Even the author of the prisonplanet.com article isn’t buying into this one because he can’t find the whistleblower much less his friend the demolitions expert.

    Prank, hoax, nonsense, boogyman, whatever.

    1. Cheers
      For the link. 🙂

911: Who would believe something like that anyway – no one will ever know the truth, there will only be history. JFK had no whistleblowers either. Ah well. At least vodka and whiskey have been invented regardless off their histories 😉

  2. Chomsky
    Hello,

Well some criticism of Chomsky won’t hurt, though the author drifts when he accuses his supporters are ignorants. Who is this mr Scruton anyway ? Well here’s amazons editorial.

    ” Book Description, Gentle Regrets:
Roger Scruton is Britain’s best known intellectual dissident, who has defended English traditions and English identity against an official culture of denigration. Although his writings on philosophical aesthetics have shown him to be a leading authority in the field, his defence of political conservatism has marked him out in academic circles as public enemy number one. Whether it is Scruton’s opinions that get up the nose of his critics, or the wit and erudition with which he expresses them, there is no doubt that their noses are vastly distended by his presence, and constantly on the verge of a collective sneeze. Contrary to orthodox opinion, however, Roger Scruton is a human being, and Gentle Regrets contains the proof of it – a quiet, witty but also serious and moving account of the ways in which life brought him to think what he thinks, and to be what he is. His moving vignettes of his childhood and later influences illuminate this book. Love him or hate him, he will engage you in an argument that is both intellectually stimulating and informed by humour.” Amazon

Now we know where he’s coming from. Does shine a different light on the article, doesn’t it ?

    1. Scruton is real?
      I thought Scruton was a made-up name.

I hereby call for “scruton-ize” to be used as a real word in the context of the above post’s description of Scruton. As in scrutinize, only in a Scruton way of scrutinizing.
