News Briefs 09-01-2006

Three weeks of news to catch up on…that hurts. Here’s a start…

Quote of the Day:

“Bipartisan” usually means that a larger-than-usual deception is being carried out.

  1. You are not hallucinating
if you see ghosts, or at least I don’t believe so.
I found it interesting that Doctor Stuttaford said you could be suffering from Parkinson’s disease if you saw ghosts that have the lower half cut off.
My mother and brother regularly saw a chinese person cut off at the knees when they lived in a house that had been on the site of a Chinese market garden and neither of them ever suffered from Parkinson’s disease.
Every evening at the same time The Chinese man would walk past the side of the house and could be seen from the windows.

I also read somewhere that visitors to the Tower of London have reported seeing medieval soldiers cut off from the knees walking past them.

The interesting thing about this phenomenon is that my mother and brother, neither of them the hysterical type, would normally never have admitted seeing any sort of ghost at all, and specially one as strange as this, being cut off at the knees, so I assumed it must have made a huge impression on them.

I would love to know the reason for this particular sort of sighting, and whether the ground had actually been raised or not, or what could have caused such a strange perception in the viewers.
