PEAR Closure

We broke the news last year, but as Rick pointed out in Monday’s news, the New York Times has reported on the impending demise of the Princeton Engineering Anomalies Lab (PEAR). PEAR has been responsible for a lot of the high-level psi research over the past three decades, including experiments on mind-machine interactions, remote viewing and the global consciousness project:

“For 28 years, we’ve done what we wanted to do, and there’s no reason to stay and generate more of the same data,” said the laboratory’s founder, Robert G. Jahn, 76, former dean of Princeton’s engineering school and an emeritus professor. “If people don’t believe us after all the results we’ve produced, then they never will.”

Dean Radin has a commentary about the lab’s closure on his blog which is worth a read. Of course, Radin has documented much of this research in his books The Conscious Universe (Amazon US and UK)and Entangled Minds (Amazon US and UK), so if you’re interested, check them out or peruse some of the information available on the Internet (PEAR have a number of PDFs available on their website).
