Another essay offering this week, although not a new one. Long-time readers of TDG may remember an essay I wrote a few years ago about the archetype of the constellation Orion throughout the ancient world. I’ve reformatted that essay for the new-look TDG, and posted it in the ‘Features’ section under the title “The God with the Upraised Arm“. Those who subscribe to Robert Bauval’s ‘Orion Correlation Theory’ (OCT) should find plenty of interest in this piece.   2. Orion
    Orion’s upraised arm points toward the galactic “anticenter” as defined by a straight line from Galactic Center through the Sun and through Earth (at winter solstice location on the plane of the ecliptic) then through galactic anticenter.
    The sky goddess (Nut) is oriented with head toward galactic center and feet toward anticenter in the depiction from the ceiling of the Temple of Denderah. The view on the ceiling is that which one sees when holding a celestial sphere globe looking upward to the pole of the galaxy in Coma Berenices…but the view is from “outside” the sphere rather than in its center as typically viewed as evidenced by seeing the constellations of the opposing hemisphere in proper location in reverse order to that seen from inside the sphere.
    Once this is established, one can understand the view of constellations of Earth’s ecliptic and of Nibiru’s ecliptic around the periphery of the “sphere”. The conjunction of these two planes is depicted by an axis between Virgo and Pisces. Another axis is depicted by Leo and Aquarius which depict the great ages when Orion reaches max and min elevation in the sky. These two great ages are depicted by the Great Sphinx…Leo/lion and Aquarius/man-water bearer. The “min” elevation of Orion occurred about 10,500bc, and the “max” will occur in the Age of Aquarius (about now) half a precession cycle of 25,920 years later.
    As an aside, 2,012ad is when the Sun appears to “rise through galactic center” from Earth. It is not at “max” elevation of Orion.
    It seems obvious that this view of the sky can be used to orient oneself with the galaxy to navigate between Nibiru and Earth on the “inbound” portion of Nibiru’s orbit path.
    The Horus Falcon perched on a column is a marker depicting with its head the path of Nibiru and with the base of the column the path of Earth’s orbit of the Sun.
    This “story” is far more complete and demonstrative of a higher order of interest than when to plant and when to reap.

        Wpt…..look for the ox horns in egyptian hieroglyph words. They refer to division & the brow & the new year.
        All stars culminate over 25776 years. by necessity it will be midnight on the midwinter solstice when this culmination occurs.
        Midnight,midwinter solsice is yesterday & tommorrow at the local meridian, due south-north.
        Orions belt culminates on the celestial equator. It divides the heavens north & south in two at the celestial equator as the local meridian joins east and west & midnight midwinter joins yesterday with tommorow & last year with next year.
        Directly above orions belt will be the horns of the bull/ox just cutting the meridian with the path of the ecliptic running between the horns.
        Now ponder the crown of isis/hathor. The left, right & 3rd eye of the god. The sun, the moon & the eye of Horus.

        1. Good input, Mick.
          It’s good to orient within the familiar celestial sphere, but it’s based upon a rotating, orbiting, wobbling Earthcentric view projected onto our surroundings which changes continually.
          The next step is to orient by the galaxy which changes far less over long periods of time. That’s what the ceiling of the Temple of Denderah, the “Navigation Disk” and the “Planisphere” from Sitchin’s work depict. Pretty strong evidence that someone knew more than we’ve been willing to admit until our knowledge grew sufficiently to at least partially comprehend what they were depicting.
          From many ancient clues, I constructed a proposed Path of Nibiru. This path has been discussed with a professional astronomer who plotted the parameters into a computer model of the known perturbations of the Solar System and admitted that there is a match. From this information, that astronomer is searching for the actual “planet x”.
          It does no good to mention all this at the outset when one encounters only a “kill the messenger” mentality.
          Perhaps some more intelligent discourse will now be forthcoming?

            Ask you astronomy friend to find the high point of the obliquity cycle of the sun and see how it locks in with 2012ad & 3113bc. The if & when it locks with the culmination of Orion.

            Have read extensively from the “Book of the Dead” and info from Robert Bauval and others about the reverence for the sky and associations of sky and Earth. However, my research suggests that there was an overriding factual foundation for the mythical references to highly revered religious recounts.
            Perhaps it would help to note that Robert Harrington (now deceased former director of the U.S. Naval Observatory) agreed with Sitchin about the likely presence of Planet X and its location. This was not something which could be taken lightly by such a professional whose reputation was at stake.
            Have many pictures and illustrations supporting my story, but no posting on a website yet. Presented my story to a portion of the professional community recently and was well received.
            There is good reason to remain anonymous at present to protect against negative elements who would willingly interrupt or destroy given the opportunity. In time, I plan to tell the complete story which is formulating but only after it has sufficient support from the professional community to sidestep much of the ridicule and doubt such subjects usually meet along the way to becoming self-evident.
            I just couldn’t resist pitching in two cents worth on this most interesting subject opened by Greg.

            Dont stop looking & carry on following your instinct. Everyone is different and has different views and perspectives. No one can be credited with being correct until ALL the puzzle pieces are put together.

            Some of those pieces are now in place. Perhaps now we can build and go forward instead of stagnating like we have for 150 years.

            May I suggest confirming and solidifying the pieces we do have while moving on.

            I dont see myself of going out to be ridiculed. I am going out to give some very intelligent orthodox people the opportunity to come down out of their ivory towers before it collapses on top of them. I can only advise & cadjole. If they choose to stay there………to some I will seem like an idiot sticking my head in the firing line of a mob of academia who want blood. Time will tell.

            It is to be hoped that we can avoid further stagnation.
            Have confirmed “the story” via SkyGlobe, celestial sphere globe, and via artwork provided by National Geographic as well as corroboration from some great minds such as Robert Bauval, Graham Hancock, Zecharia Sitchin, etc. as well as via modern science matching ancient knowledge.
            Agree that my presentation was not an invitation to ridicule but an invitation to open the mind and allow some new thought processes to freshen the stodgy conventional wisdom.

        Also, according to computer model, Nibiru’s proposed path is expected to precess one degree per cycle of 3600 years. Thus, 3600 years times 360 degrees = precession cycle of 1,296,000 years. This is a number which shows up in ancient Mayan, Chinese, Hindu, and Babylonian calendars, and it’s the number of arc seconds in 360 degrees. Nibiru’s precession cycle is Earth’s precession cycle of 25,920 years multiplied by 50 (the Biblical Jubilee).

        There are simply too many of these ancient measures matching the ancient sexagesimal counting system of the Sumerians and matching Earth and Mars dimensions as well as information about Nibiru to realistically rule out a purposeful correlation.
