Weekend Roundup 02-03-2006

A few things to keep you busy over the weekend…

  • Loren Coleman discusses the attacks on the famous Patterson Bigfoot video on Cryptomundo. TDG user Reno1955 pointed us at the cleaned up footage – see here and here.
  • The Psychedelic Salon has Part 3 of its Terence McKenna podcast series, “In the Valley of Novelty”.
  • James N. Gardner has written “The Physical Constants as Biosignature“, which is posted on Ray Kurzweil’s website. Read into this one a little and there are some stunning things to think about – “the laws and constants of physics function as the cosmic equivalent of DNA, guiding a cosmologically extended evolutionary process and providing a blueprint for the replication of new life-friendly progeny universes.”
  • David Barrett takes you inside the Da Vinci Code Courtcase for Phenomena.
  • Filer’s Files #9 has all the latest ufological news from around the world.

Enjoy!

  1. In regards to the patterson footage
The thing that i find interesting about most of the studdies i’ve seen done on the patterson footage is that no one seems to have noticed the fact that the creature depicted in the video seems to have noticable breasts (possibly indicating the fact that its a female). You can see them clearly as the creature turns to look at the camera.

I don’t know about you but i’ve never seen a monkey suit like that.

Additionally, the enhanced footage clearly shows muscle movement beneath the fur, not to mention clear distinct facial features that seem to depict more human like features rather than ape like features (as would be evident were this infact a person in a monkey suit.)

Additionally, the head is clearly conicle in shape near the apex of the crown, again a feature not possessed in your average run of the mill gorilla suit.

While none of this is conclusive enough to prove or disprove the existance of bigfoot, i think its safe to say hoaxing something that incredible was well beyond the capabilities of even the best special effects experts hollywood could provide at the time.
